DKLI Posted May 30, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2022 Hi, Does anyone have a map of the walk from the ferry to Tobacco Bay beach? I did it years ago and vaguely remember it. If not a map, then street names maybe. Thanks. Karen

Charles4515 Posted May 30, 2022 #4 Share Posted May 30, 2022 I have marked the route. The ferry arrives in the area that says Hunters Wharf and Pennos Wharf. It is easier to turn right on Water Street than going up the hill to York. 1
Charles4515 Posted May 30, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 30, 2022 (edited) You can download the complete travel map from Go to Bermuda. You can also order the Bermuda Travel Map and they will send it to you for free. The map is also available at the Visiter Information Centers. Ifn you have questions they will mark directions for you. The map may also be available on your ship. On Summit the Captains Club hostess used to have them. The map is much better than Google Maps. Google did a sloppy job of mapping Bermuda. A number of street names and place names are not accurate on Google maps. https://www.gotobermuda.com/official-visitor-guides Edited May 30, 2022 by Charles4515

mcmarya Posted May 31, 2022 #7 Share Posted May 31, 2022 If you won't have data while you are there, you can get the maps.me app and download the map for Bermuda. It operates on GPS so works fine without cell service. You can bookmark locations and plan "to" and "from" routes and choose walking. It even does verbal directions. You can do the same by downloading maps for google maps in advance and saving them. The only thing I don't like about Google Maps is that the app is not good at recalculating routes if you miss a turn.
billslowsky Posted June 1, 2022 #8 Share Posted June 1, 2022 Don't they still have free maps either at the tourism booth at the dockyard or at the square in st Georges?

They have always had the free pockiet maps at the Visitor Information Centres. The Visitor Information Centre in St. George moved from the Town Square to York St. a few year ago.
