We are on board and in our  CC Suite 8050. Boarding was weird sort of. We had a boarding time of 3pm, but got here at  1:30. They gave us a sticker indicating we were in a suite, but after presenting boarding pass, vaccination cards, test result we were then seated in an area for our muster station. After a short time there, we were then boarded as a group of 8 and taken to the main dining room where they finished our checkin. Then we had our muster safety instructions for our small group, so no muster at 6 pm. We were then personally escorted to our cabin and immediately greeted by our butler. LICKING EVERYTHING SO FAR. More Later.

OK, sorry about the licking comment. I MEANT LIKING. Tried to edit, but it wouldn't let me. Internet is real slow. AS far as flight issues, it turned out that everyone in Premium economy on That flight had their seats changed The people, in our original seats had just booked 3 days ago. Off to dinner at Prime C. REPORT TO COME

Thanks so much for posting this! Would it be possible to post some/all of the menus for the various restaurants? We're going to be on the Pursuit in August - I know that things may change by then but would like to get an idea of what we might expect.

The "licking everything" was definitely the funniest thing I've seen today.  😂

Looking forward to your reports.  We're on the next cruise out of Lisbon.  It will be our first Azamara, so I'm sure I'll learn some tips from you.

So pleased for you after the flight troubles you made it in one piece none the worse for wear from the experience.

Yes, your boarding experience does seem a bit odd. Do you think it was to do with your early arrival or suite guest? What were everyone doing? Separated or seemingly boarding in a "normal" way you'd expect?

Was you a PCR test arrival or test on arrival in Barcelona? Just curious on time frames. We've decided not to PCR test but to antigen on arrival in Lisbon.

Looking forward to your views on the ship, the food and general thoughts on everything. (Comments on poor service and food and drink choices is certainly a concern.)

Do you know how many on board? People wearing masks inside?

Lastly... One big personal favour. Could you have a look at the outside forward decks, to see if at the top of the glass, it's feasible to clamp a go pro to the metal structure. Anything under 4" and I should be good to go. Want to video our arrival and departure to Amsterdam, Kiel transit and arrival to Stockholm, all of which I've done before and hoping to get some great 4K footage.

Many thanks.... And have a great cruise.

Pretty much the same we were boarded in Miami this past February, except the check-in was done at the dock.  Azamara is avoiding having the usual muster with the dining room and theater packed with people.  So you are boarded in small groups, see a short video explaining life jacket and evacuation, and then are taken to your stateroom .  Safer in a pandemic and let's you have the rest of the afternoon open to unpack, eat and tour the ship.  Might not be feasible with 650 passengers.

@joyrideVery nice of you to have live posting!

Could you please share your flight experience? Did you feel the 1st row seats were really that better?

Thanks

I was in a 3rd row middle seat and had my husband on my left and a dead heading crew member on my right. The title girl in front of me reclined her seat and slept the whole flight. I basically could barely squeeze out of my seat when I had to use the bathroom. So, yes I think the row one seat would have been better.  The flight was fine, my seat reclined. I watched 4 movies. The food wasn't very good, but OK. The Level flight attendants were all very nice. We concluded that Ibeara must have had some sort of computer glitch because it was in airbus 330 like we had originally booked. When we get home we will get a refund for the extra $120 we paid to be in row 1.

We love our CC Suite. It's very spacious and has tons of storage. Our butler Ronald greeted us the minute we got to our stateroom. We switched out the alcohol we don't like and now have 2 vodkas and 2 rums. I told Ronald that I'm a wine drinker, so he has kept our fridge supplied with chardonney too. We also had him get us a carton of cranberry juice and diet sodas.

The bed is extremely comfortable. We have a bathtub. I guess the only complaint we would have is that when standing in the tub to shower, my husband`s head hits the ceiling and he can't stand all the way up, He`s 6'2".

Thanks for the cabin comments. We have that very same cabin in September. Please take care of it for us.

It's a great location, butler is awesome. You will love it. I apologize for the double posts, the internet connectivity is not good. I wrote a huge post about dining, etc. And lost it. Using Samsung notes now and will copy and paste. Will post much more later.

We ate at Prime C night one and at Aqualina night 2. Fabulous. More to come. Heading to MDR for breakfast and then in Cartagena, Spain today and we will go see the Andalusian Horses. WE did ships tour yesterday, walking tour of Valencia. There were only 10 people on the tour. Tonight we have the cruise critics meet and greet at 530 pm in the Drawing room, deck 10. I have much more to share and hopefully some pictures. Later.

Glad your meet and greet was a little later in the cruise than ours was in April. We had ours on boarding day at the same time as sail away so attendance was very poor-no officers either.

Thanks for taking us along on your trip.  Just one question if you don't mind: Early in the restart suite quests were allowed to eat breakfast in the Aqualina (or Prime C, I can't remember which) as a way to encourage social distancing.  Is that still the case? Or has Azamara reverted to normal?  Thanks.

Azamazing  Evening.   What is your Azamazing evening?

Still no Azamazing evening yet. There was a Destination Immersion event yesterday. A flamenco show and it was quite remarkable.

cheers

We were on Quest from  May 9 to May 19, and suite guests were offered breakfast in Aqualina.

I'm following along because I will be on the Pursuit in July for the Ireland cruise.  I've never been on Azamara so I'm excited to hear about all the details.  Hope you have a great trip.
