Lane Hog Posted June 10, 2022 #26 Share Posted June 10, 2022 (edited) I can relate. Our special needs kid freaked out rather spectacularly the first time she had to get on a tender, and we never knew how she'd do on an airplane once she outgrew her car seat. After years of doing both, she's now a pro. It doesn't sound like United denied them the ability to travel home -- he simply couldn't remain onboard in an agitated state and be a risk to others. toad455 Posted June 10, 2022 #27 Share Posted June 10, 2022 Wondering why they couldn't get another flight? A shame they were stuck for a month in Aruba.

Fear of another panic attack? If you've never been around autism, you probably can't understand how self conscious the parents are over things like this. There's really no instruction manual for the parents or caregivers... you simply try to find what the triggers are and avoid them at all costs.
