We are going on our first non Caribbean cruise to the NE/Canada for 9 nights.

Would it be out of place to wear summer like clothes, bright colors or "Caribbean" like...for dinner? The cruise starts on Sept 1st if that makes a difference.

Thank you

I traveled in Quebec and Ontario annually for many years on business.  The weather starts cooling significantly after mid-August.   Check accuweather or other for historical weather.  I think bright colors are fine but summer clothing will be too cool.  Noting your Illinois  location think spring instead

I’d wear the summer colors & clothing but make sure I had a sweater. I’m originally from that area & you can have temps ranging from low 40s to 90s (in the same day) I’m talking Fahrenheit

I'm on a Quebec-Boston cruise in late September ... really looking forward to not having to dress for hot weather.  I'll bring clothing to layer, silk turtlenecks, sleeveless tops, a sweater, sweatshirt, l/s shirts, cardigan, windbreaker.  Scarves and jewelry for evening.  Good to be comfy in all kinds of weather.  I find that 'back east', rooms are usually much warmer than here in NoCA, so the layering works well.  Bright colors are fine, of course.  I pack nothing but beige, black and one bright color.
