I know princess is regarded as a ship for older people but I wouldn’t call it an aged care home 😂😂😂😂

My girlfriend is connected with safety at a nursing home.  Same reasons would apply on a ship.

I’ll see if I can find out. We’ve not been out the back door (we’re on caribe) but I’ll wander down . We’ve been on inside too and sat out the back like our own private deck lol

Please don't go out of your way. We too look for cabins in different locations.

We usually use the Sanctuary on sea days but probably won't on the upcoming cruise as we have the suite. But I'll be sussing it out as we'll probably use it on our August cruise. It will be a nice change having the wake views though.

We've seen people in the past walk into the Sanctuary and just take a lounger. Mostly they leave very quickly once the steward informs them of the charge but once there was a guy who flatly refused to move. He got a bit aggressive so they called security and they removed him.

Did he have  to walk the plank.

Def with a suite you might not need. We loving sitting out on ours. We’re not actually sit by the pool

people either. But on the other ships we’ve definitely made good use of the adults only pool and spa and there are none of those on here. So if the aft pool belongs to the sanctuary that would be a plus. I always understood the sanctuary to be special cos they would bring your eats and drinks there but with the app anyone anywhere gets that special treatment.

It's also the thickly cushioned sunloungers, chilled water topped up all day, afternoon tea served to your sunlounger, and peace and quiet to read or just gaze at the ocean.

I don't know what happened to him. They escorted him out of the Sanctuary and that was the last we saw of him, thank goodness. He looked like a very angry young man.

CDaze71! An answer to ordering two drinks at once. Technically it’s not allowed and they will charge you for one. They explained that the system is standard to accept one drink at a time. I’ve come unstuck because I’ve ordered one for each of us on the app but in my name. It’s absolutely no prob to just pop down to guest services and they reverse it. But now we know I will just make sure we order from our sep apps.

when ordering verbally you just need to make sure they allocate the drinks each. Of course if you’re in same restaurant they get to know you very quickly so it’s no prob, it’s just their default to make sure the plus people are not ordering for all and sundry,

That will take a bit of getting used to. With both of us having a package in the past, you just had to show both cards when you ordered.

Crispy is only way I will eat it. Maybe it’s not that good for me but I’ll enjoy it for a couple of weeks 🥳

The crispier the better. It even looks like it could be deep fried, but it just melts in the mouth.

I like bacon either way, but the ships do the burnt bacon so much better than I can. Also goes well with maple syrup.

If it's crispy but relatively tasteless it may indeed be deep fried as in that case the flavour from the bacon fat would be lost into the frying oil. Crispy bacon needs to be cooked in it's own fat or at least grilled to retain the flavour.

Just an impression.

P&O tried to do crispy bacon for us a couple of weeks back, but it is a dry effort and akin to eating jerky. Whatever the US ships do that make it melt in your mouth, they know how to do it right.

I've only had really good bacon on one Princess cruise, on Sea Princess in 2019. The rest of the time it's been tasteless crunchy cardboard. Celebrity Solstice was pretty bad too I think.

We have had some pretty good crispy bacon on some of the Royal ships, Princess and NCL. When cruising Alaska on Princess or NCL, it has been pretty close to perfect each day - they really know how to burn their bacon over there.

Have the first night menus been the same both times in the MDR @Cbtours?

I don’t know, cos we are in a suite, first time ever!!! And one of the many perks is complimentary embarkation dinner in SD. And club class otherwise, which is same as MDR bar one special extra. We did bayou first cruise then sabatini second 🥰🥰

Don't panic! Princess does the long cruises very well.

Food is very subjective. Some people are very fussy about how they like things and will complain if it's not exactly cooked how they ( or maybe their mum) cook it.

Yes, Coral is one of the older ships which is why she has lovely features like a full promenade deck. IMHO Princess usually keeps their ships in good condition and are continually cleaning, painting, and maintaining them. nboard.

Agreed. See ya onboard.👍
