luv2ndhalf Posted June 20, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2022 We will be docking in Auckland in Oct…. We arrive at 7:00 and depart at 3:00, so not a lot of time. I really wanted to see Waiheke, but I’m concerned about the short amount of time. Thoughts? Thanks!
Rare Over from NZ Posted June 20, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2022 Depends on day of the week and time of the day.. but mostly hourly. It's about 45 mins to get over there. https://www.fullers.co.nz/timetables-and-fares/?from=AUCK&to=WAIH
Muffinz Posted August 2, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2022 you won't really have much time to do a lot in Waiheke in that short time I'd recommend taking the ferry over to Devonport - it's only a 15-20 minute ferry ride it's a lovely place with a 'village' feel to it - this website should help you https://devonport.co.nz/ 1
JeffroK Posted August 2, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2022 If you go to Waiheke it is roughly a 1km walk to the village, I would suggest finding a tour whch might show you some sights or wine tastings. Weather dependent, the ferry trip there and back is worth it alone.
