Fisherwoman Posted June 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2022 We board the Discovery on Sunday. Does anyone know what the MUTS are?
rj59 Posted June 22, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2022 Usually it's too cold and windy for any but the brave to handle MUTS in Alaska, but fortunately we'll be heading up during a heat wave in Seattle and Alaska, so it might be bearable in the calmer inside passage waters, with sufficient blankets and wearing of warm clothing. I checked out Patters from a month ago, and they showed "In the Heights", "Free Guy", "David Copperfield", "Cruella", and "Call of the Wild", with no evening movies while in port in Juneau and Victoria. Those were the same movies on the Majestic in February. There are some early port arrivals in Ketchikan and Skagway, and entering Endicott Arm at 5 am, and sunsets aren't until 10 pm now, which also are reasons to skip the evening movies. You forgot Ford vs Ferrari, Yesterday, Marigold Hotel, and the Freddie Mercury bio-pic. Those were in heavy rotation on Enchanted in April. abbiep Posted June 23, 2022 #4 Share Posted June 23, 2022 I don’t know what the movies are but we love MUtS. Grab a couple of blankets, some hot chocolate and popcorn and we are good to go. Watching movies while bundled up is part of the experience.
Coolmama_1 Posted June 23, 2022 #5 Share Posted June 23, 2022 We were on the Royal in May. Some of the movies were Dune, West Side Story, Belfast, Eyes of Tammy Faye, No Time to Die, Respect, and Spencer.
venussuz Posted June 23, 2022 #6 Share Posted June 23, 2022 Most of what was shown on MUTS on the Island TA May 26 to June 13 were concerts or other musical events. They showed some of the movies listed above but weren't putting out the blankets the one time we went.
MissP22 Posted June 23, 2022 #7 Share Posted June 23, 2022 Most of the movies shown on MUTS are not very new. If your a movie buff, you might be a little disappointed in their selections. Also, they aren't shown in the cabin like they used to do in the past. If you miss it being shown on MUTS, you're out of luck.
majortom10 Posted June 23, 2022 #8 Share Posted June 23, 2022 All MUTS shown on Emerald Princess earlier this month were also available on the cabin TV. Some weird times for some of the films especially the latest were on MUTS either over lunchtime or in morning on Port days. At least if you wanted you could watch them at a later date on cabin TV. That's the way it used to be but on the Enchanted they only showed it once on MUTS never to be seen again (even in the cabin)
