Stopped to watch the crew do a drill. Also, notice where the gangway is now. Right off the atrium on deck 2. Contrast that later when we get back on after the tide comes in…

Spoiler alert: this excursion was awesome. It was small, you’re looking at all of us (there were two crafts), and it was only an hour and a half long so we had plenty of time to explore town. Just perfect for us.

Our craft landed on the black beach across the bay first, so we got to watch this. Which was AWESOME.

We saw this boat WAY up on the beach and asked about it. It belonged to one of the guys on the hovercraft! We gave him a lift over here, he had beached it the other day and was gonna come back tonight when the tide came up. What a life.

The guide told us to put our cameras in slo-mo. I had no idea I’d catch this. Can’t get much better, y’all. It’s weird - YouTube speeds it back up to full speed. But on my phone, it’s absolutely incredible

Amazing time on the hovercraft and watching the bald eagles free. Back on the dock with plenty of time to explore town, find drinks and eats!
