All that worry went away on the way back when we had an Orca party

Decided to grab a couple hot chocolates and head up to 10 to see if we could spot anymore whales or eagles. And yeah, I know there’s free hot chocolate on Lido, but the good stuff at JavaBlue is just so much better….

I know the picture stinks, but that’s a whole mess of Eagles having an important meeting. It was cool watching them all fly down there.

found the builders’ plate! I’d also forgotten that the Spirit class ships weren’t Fincantieri.

Never fully understood the Hollywood themed bread plates. They were there all week and apropos of nothing.

so during dinner, as we sailed away, a pod of orcas came up right along side us. Our whole (port) side of the dining room started hooting and hollering and trying to get a look. I didn’t get any pics because I was so caught up in the moment and it would have been hard to get great shots. At one point, the group count got up to 19 spottings. It was absolutely insane and one of the more amazing experiences I’ve had onboard ship.

Okay, I forget the specific name of this entree…. It was one of the 50th Birthday dishes but I’ve never heard of it before. Salmon, spinach, and some other stuff in a puff pastry with a sauce on the side… and it… was… DELICIOUS. just OUTSTANDING. I want it again. ASAP.

Cruise by the gift shop before an early bedtime before a big day in Juneau tomorrow. I would love this. I sailed on the Ol’ tss Mardi Gras as a kid and have a framed lithograph (remember when they’d pass those out the last formal night at dinner?) of her hanging on my wall…. But… I just don’t buy it! I wish I did! But I don’t! 😂

I forgot to mention, picked up the platinum gift and pin at Pixels after dinner. This is my second slap bracelet koozie, I kinda dig em. I’m especially glad the ship names are back on the pins.

our impressive in room booze setup. Ordered the Jack and Vodka in advance to have something to enjoy on the balcony (and since we weren’t getting cheers), and we lucked into two bottles of wine at the steakhouse.

First glimpses of Juneau. We’d be shuttling in from anchor again, but a) it was no surprise, and b) we are soooo much closer. Today, everything would go smooth as silk.

Norwegian had an odd schedule in Juneau today. Bliss would leave REALLY early in the day, and be replaced by Encore in the latter half. It was just strange, because every other ship stayed all day long. Also, even though we had to shuttle, apparently the Norwegian pier was so far away people had to take buses to get to it. According to our tour guide, anyway. Mostly I just thought the schedule was weird as heck.

I can see Tracy’s from here! We had designs on eating here, but the day led us elsewhere. No regrets. Maybe next time.

It’s EVERYWHERE, people. Seriously though, internet was pretty good. Other than some parts of Tracy Arm, we didn’t lose connection as much as I’d heard and feared.
