Live from the Mardi Gras 6/25, is the third time the charm

Come join us as we take our third voyage on the Mardi Gras, this time staying in a Havana Cabana room.  The delta between cruises has been a while (the Elation in March) and to be honest, we have been jonesing to get on a Carnival ship.  This will be our 46th Carnival Cruise.

While we live in Florida, we spend summers in CT and Long Island with kids and grand kids.  Got our negative tests at 11pm, updated verifly and went to bed.  Flying out of New Haven this morning.

Have a great cruise Jimbo! Expect  a little bit different experience this time now that they are sailing near max capacity. Anxious to hear your take on it since the last time you sailed on her it was reduced capacity. That Havana cabana may be a godsend. 😎

We are LITERALLY joining you, since we're on the same cruise!  We're in an aft balcony on Deck 10. Can't wait to get this cruise started!

So New Haven is a tiny airport, some pics from the beginning of the flight.

So they board from both doors.  We were 35 min late.  This plane flies back and forth 3 times.  The delay was a foretelling of the future.

The pilot came on and saying there was “weather” in the area of mco and it would be a “bumpy” landing.  Wow an understatement .

The 2nd roughest decline I has over exp and then at 1500 fr hit a wind sheer and dropped maybe a third and aborted and full throttle hard bank climb bouncing the whole way.  People screaming added to the fun.  Pilot came on and talked us thru what happened and said we were diverting to Tampa foe delay and fuel.
