RCmommy Posted June 28, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2022 I am completing the online check-in for our upcoming cruise and for my partner (Canadian, resides in Canada); after entering the passport info, it is asking what type of Visa he has? I have never encountered this before. Is this something new or is this a requirement for the Bahamas? We just drove over to Michigan in April and no Visa was required. For reference I am a US citizen who has permanent status in Canada and and our cruise only has two stops in the Bahamas out of Charleston. I was not asked for VISA info. The only info I can find so far on Carnival's site is for a non-us citizen who does not have a valid passport and he does.
Fouremco Posted June 28, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2022 Canadians do not require a visa to enter the Bahamas. However, until a few days ago, the Bahamas required visitors to have a Travel Health Visa. Perhaps your cruiseline hasn't updated its webpage to eliminate this cancelled requirement.
