Celiac/Gluten Free

About to book our first Ponant trip.  We will be traveling with a friend who has Celiac and will need a Gluten Free diet. Can anyone comment on Ponants menus and approach to GF diets.

I don’t know anything about celiac, but the menu does indicate gluten free items.  To ensure mistakes are not made, I would make a point of speaking with the restaurant manager and/or chef about it. For buffet items, I’d think your friend would have enough experience to select properly?

@AussieBoyTXto the rescue again.  Yes, our friend is well versed in GF management. Some luxury cruise lines take it more seriously than others.

Ponant looks to be very well versed in GF. Thanks again for taking the time to help.

The above response is excellent.  Four years ago when last on Ponant, I spoke to the maître d’ and was looked after from then on.  The pastry chef even made bread, but I politely suggested he not try that recipe again!  So here was no toast for eggs, but that didn’t matter.  By now they probably but retail gluten free loaves.  I did not have a problem on board at all.  As usual, sometimes desserts were made specially.
