Rare KKB Posted July 9, 2022 Author #51 Share Posted July 9, 2022 Wow! All 4 suitcases at door b4 2pm! Unpacked & STILL 2 empty drawers! I don’t get the need for over the door organizers or wall hooks. Even in our tiny (135 sq ft) NCL interior we found spots for everything—and PLENTY of room for more! AtlantaCruiser72 Posted July 9, 2022 #52 Share Posted July 9, 2022 @KKBI have an "ask" for you - at some point if you could lurk around cabin P326 (Deck 5 Plaza - port side interior room) and potentially get a quick snapshot through the open door - Perhaps on turnaround day? I just want to see what the room currently looks like from doorway, don't need any more than that. No biggie if you can't do it or don't want to 🙂

Taking notes…will post soon—probably tomorrow! BTW—the House band from yesterday appears to be the theatre band. It was NOT Xtasea—who are AMAZING! Rare KKB Posted July 12, 2022 Author #57 Share Posted July 12, 2022 SOOOOO in typical fashion we like to GO GO GO…and cruise life got in the way of CC life!🤣 We r waiting for a TX Hold Em tourney to begin as we roll into Roatan. Apparently they allow casino to stay open. We plan to hit Mahogany Bay after. But tourney fills so figured PERFECT time to post! Saturday dinner at Palms & was able to pre-order to avoid gluten. I’ve been able to order things that have gluten & they modify for me (they tell me when they can’t). Going to try photos here…not optimistic. OK….several went fine then it stopped. Ugh…went fine, hit reply, NOPE. Pics gone…try again, pics I didn’t add r downloading. I’ll do less per post. I had: Ceviche (very good! Mahi-mahi (good, a bit overdone) Flourless chocolate cake (FABULOUS—and I’m not a huge chocolate OR dessert fan!
Cinerama Posted July 12, 2022 #58 Share Posted July 12, 2022 If you could, please take a picture of the MUTS screen. In the past it looked pretty bad but maybe they have replaced it with a better one. Thanks!
Rare KKB Posted July 13, 2022 Author #59 Share Posted July 13, 2022 So posting pics is QUITE a challenge. Not a huge issue to download but somehow CC is picking up pics I’m not checking. Saturday continued: Got to general trivia. Oh WOW—we did so poorly we contemplated giving up trivia for the week! (Luckily we didn’t) 730 went to comedian. NOPE—it’s a magician. Checks Patters…it says COMEDIAN. Fine. He says he’s been in Vegas for 25 years. Huh. We’ve done well over 100 Vegas trips in 30 years, and I’ve never heard of this guy! I’ll give him a chance. Uh, 15 min in & I’m bored. THAT is why you grab an aisle seat up top! (Some folks really liked him, so I’ll just say it wasn’t for me) 815 stopped in casino for Queens Sea Poker demo. Apparently it is a game on an app but they have the demo as a table game. It was FUN—our pirate hostess “Jean” was a hoot. But I would never play for real $! Got to music trivia just in time for answers—only to find we would have faired well had we been there in time! Gareth does trivia FAST, while Rhys is a bit more leisurely in his pacing. We then ran into Robin & Ben (from OC in CA) who we had met at the Hilton bar & realized we are nearly identical in ages. We chatted, people watched & listened to Xtasea until nearly midnight. They r GREAT!
AtlantaCruiser72 Posted July 13, 2022 #60 Share Posted July 13, 2022 (edited) @KKB which dining room(s) are you eating in? Last time I was on Caribbean Princess one of the two center dining rooms (think it was Island) had AC issues and was consistently too warm for me. Wondering how the temps are. Also if you have eaten in the Palm dining room have you noticed any vibration/noise from engines/propellers? Glad you seem to be having a good cruise so far! Even in data CC is NOT being cooperative, ugh! Palms nightly. Only cold last night on ship. Some vibration but not always. Impatiently waiting to do our B2B walk. 25 min late & the natives r restless.
Rare KKB Posted July 16, 2022 Author #62 Share Posted July 16, 2022 HOORAY FINALLY SUCCESS! My apologies for lack of posts but either the internet was glitchy or CC was (guessing a combo of both) Since I don’t need to tour the ship today, my goal is to catch up today. Though sitting here now I want a nap!!!

Rare KKB Posted July 16, 2022 Author #64 Share Posted July 16, 2022 Sunday 7/10 Popped over to International Cafe for egg muffin & Gluten free pastry. 10am $60 TX Hold Em tournament. 10 players; one gal said u had to be there at 830 to get a seat last cruise (1st come 1st serve on seats) So far not the case this week. Dan went on to win!👍 Ran to Shore Excursions to cancel Belize. 45 min tender each way for 90min tour didn’t seem worth it. BRING TIX IF CANCELING! Once I got back with tix, a group is chatting with the shore ex staff about Europe. Now, that’s fine, but NOT when there is a line! But then the REAL reason the group was there was to e cypress their dissatisfaction that 2 excursions had been canceled. They were told it was because the tour did not secure the insurance they were required to. This group continues to try to push the guy to “make it right” even tho he told them REPEATEDLY he didn’t have such authority. Seriously, at least 8 times they kept asking! So rude! Felt like I was watching a 4 year old trying to get their way. Coral MDR for lunch—cap rede salad & Phillies (no bun 4 me)—quite tasty! Headed to pool & no issues getting spot overlooking pool for a few hours of sun. Busy, even some poolside dancing! Quick shower & made it to 430 trivia. MUCH easier-we got 18/21 on our own! Dinner at Palms with Ben & Robin & also sat with Lisa & Syd (NC) & Andy & Diane (VA) & the conversation flowed!
Rare KKB Posted July 16, 2022 Author #65 Share Posted July 16, 2022 OKAY—guess it really is going to be more of a TR than live thread with all the technical issues at sea! And I’m still having issues dropping photos from my phone for more than one post. Sunday 7/10 continued Golden Oldies music trivia—we were not nearly as bad as we anticipated! Enjoyed Xtasea again & THEN THE YES/NO GAME! If u aren’t familiar with this cruise classic, a passenger has 3 min to NOT say yes or no or any synonym of them. This is quite funny. Some last a few seconds, some longer then let their guard down & a few come prepared to stay focused & have some pat answers prepared. We hit the casino to lose a few more $… then after several drinks that evening I headed to Internaional cafe for A snack. Gluten free options are great in the morning—NOT good in PM. And that BLT croissant looked SOOO good. I know better…but the alcohol convinced me otherwise😩 1
Rare KKB Posted July 16, 2022 Author #66 Share Posted July 16, 2022 Monday 7/11 We had to be at our excursion meeting at 645. Set alarm for 545 so we could grab breakfast. At elevator I notice clock says 5:00–wait, WHAT? Yep, clocks were set an hour back but we forgot our phones don’t do that on airplane mode. UUUUUGGGGHHHHHH. (btw, DH’s DID at beginning of week but not again; mine never did🤷♀️) This is one thing I like MUCH better on Celebrity. Ships time, ALL the time. No changing. So ate & napped for an hour. Then waited…and waited….and waited. Excursion time was 730…. didn’t get there until 830. Coulda used another 90 min of sleep!! We did a 5/hour $90 excursion all over Grand Cayman. Wasnt great, wasn’t bad. Rum tasting Hell Blowholes Crash of the 10 Sails (15min each stop) Last stop Starfish Point, but not really any starfish anymore😒 We we’re there about an hour. Nice little beach. Coolest thing was the pontoon restaurant. You had to wade out to order . Only had chicken fingers, coconut shrimp, or conch fritters with fries ($20@). Food was average but a unique experience. Plus we saw A LOT of the island. NAPTIME! (Hey riding in a bus is tiring!) Trivia—HARD! Winners got 11/20. Dinner at Palms again with Robin & Ben. We often ate with others & met SO SO many great people! ( I always orders the day before so things could be prepared gluten free if possible I will post pics next week) Sun: crab & Monterrey jack quiche bacon potato chowder sauteed shrimp pistachio crème brûlée Mon French onion soup Grilled seafood bowl 33/40 Disco trivia ( listed as 70s) We did not win once tho did come within a point once. One team won A LOT— I mean, how many coaster do they need?? Liars club was hilarious ( think Balderdash) It is clear the activities staff has great camaraderie ! Then we headed to Skywalkers. Mostly young people but a good contingent of not so young folks too! Had a lot of fun. Helped that we had set time back an hour each night Sun & Mon…but that will bite us in the butt later in the week!

Rare KKB Posted July 16, 2022 Author #70 Share Posted July 16, 2022 (edited) I think I have it! I cannot attempt to post again on my phone when my last post is open to edit. This should help with continuity this week. TUESDAY Grabbed omelet at buffet & coffee at International Cafe. (I find buffet coffee is NASTY) Head to poker table for tourney— apparently Roatan Is fine with casino being open. Only 8 players in the end. And there were issues with random Medallions all over the ship. Apparently disembarkation was quite the cluster in the AM. Well 2 guys medallions wouldn’t work on the electronic poker table. One guy swapped his for his wife’s & all was good. 8th guy sits down moaning & complaining about EVERYTHING. OF COURSE his won’t work, and we need 8 to play. Finally his brother shows up & buys him in. I took 3rd (luckily pays 3) Go figure— the 2 guys whose medallions were down got 1st & 2nd! The guy who had his wife’s was a nice gentleman. He got 2 nd. Grumpy guy got 1st— hate when bad attitudes r rewarded. After grabbing a snack we walked off to Mahogany Bay with no issues. OH. MY. GOODNESS. This is the Disney of Caribbean poets & beaches—pristine! The beach itself is gorgeous but challenging—about 2-3 feet sand hill to water, plus 2-3 feet sand hill INTO the water. Had a lovely shady spot with a view. We both tried something new: fish therapy. LOVED IT! (NO idea why it added pics 1st🙄) Edited July 16, 2022 by KKB

Rare KKB Posted July 16, 2022 Author #74 Share Posted July 16, 2022 (edited) PHEW— finally caught up on pics TUESDAY CONTINUED Goat cheese soufflé at dinner was FABULOUS. Country trivia—did pretty well. Taught Ben & Robin to play pitch. Then….ROCK THE ROOM GAME SHOW! This is a silly must do, IMO. The room is divided into 2 teams & we “compete” in numerous ways—dance offs, cheer offs, trivia, etc, But this went in a much further direction than we anticipated😳 Lets just say we had several guys down to their skivvies! I have photos but I will respect privacy & NOT post our friend Ben. Sadly DH was tired& missed the fun! I hit the casino for an hour & managed to earn 125 pts only losing $10 on video poker. Thats a win. Edited July 16, 2022 by KKB
