That is normal though. Ships have been long required to report those numbers, way back before covid. The accuracy/transparency of those same reports was agued through the media and courts following Ruby Princess, and had the protocols been followed properly, there would have been a response from NSW health, likely including quarantine & testing of passengers.

 

Flights have never had that level of scrutiny. I do note the disparity, and there is a risk of us picking it up on a pre-cruise flight to Brisbane in two weeks. All the same, there is a higher chance of us catching it on Coral Princess, and we will just do what we can to look after ourselves while we travel. Planes, airports and ships would be perfectly safe places, if it wasn't for all those people.

Pacific Explorer on a short cruise is current green status

Coral Princess a few days into her current cruise is code yellow

Surprisingly, after arriving as green status, Pacific Encounter is now code yellow even though no passengers have yet to board.

Perhaps many of the Pacific Encounter crew have the lurgy, hence the code yellow.

Not many, but some - could be as little as 7 or as many as 20. 

 

Pacific Explorer has returned from a cruise this morning as code green, which I think is a first since resumption. As we are coming down the back of the current wave, things are set to settle down onboard too.

 

I wonder if Karl notice the last wave started at the same time Explorer resumed cruising. No contact tracing, so drawing a really long bow there.
