Rare cruiseny4life Posted July 19, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2022 Hey everyone - let's have some boozy (or not so boozy) fun! For an August cruise I upgraded to the premium beverage plus package and am hoping to enjoy a lot of new drinks. I just don't know what! My husband is a non-drinker by choice, so if you have any stunningly perfect virgin drinks, I'd love to hear them too. My go to drinks which I'm bored of are: Capt. and Coke (boo no Capt. on my last cruise and can we please get rid of Pepsi, just please) Mai Tai Long Island Iced Tea I'm definitely curious about fruity drinks as I don't like the hard, hard stuff (whiskey, scotch, etc.). Also - don't just tell me the name of the drink! Tell me the story of where you had it for the first time. My first Mai Tai was an included drink in Maui at our hotel's luau when my husband and I went there for our honeymoon. I'll always remember how the sunset nearly matched the colors of the Mai Tai and hearing the ocean's surf just completed the experience. It was literally picture perfect! Now, you go! Please! KansasTexan Posted July 19, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2022 I don't remember the first time I had a White Russian but I was on a cruise with a friend and we ordered them at the bar after dinner. Decided to walk over to the casino and plunked down $20 on the roulette wheel, #32. (My friend had never played Roulette and asked me if I'd show him how. 32 was my grandma's favorite number, so that was what I played on my first spin.) It hit. He wanted to play more. I showed him how to cash out chips at the cashier's cage and we went for another White Russian instead - my treat. :)
