Lesliealbert Posted August 16, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2022 I’m just getting over having Covid and am sailing to Alaska on September 10th. What if I’m still testing positive for Covid then, even though I am perfectly fine. I’m fully vaxed with 3 shots. I’m Canadian. What are my options? zazou Posted August 16, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2022 (edited) I currently have Covid too. For me it's not fun at all. I hope you are better. I don't know where you are but in Quebec we can have free box of 5 rapid antigen test from the pharmacist. I intend to test myself with it at day 11 and so on until I'm negative , this way this will ease the same fear I have. I'm cruising in September also. The problem with the home test is that we don't have a paper showing that we got COVID (we cannot get free PCR here except if you are health workers). If after day 13 I'm still positive, I will pay and get a medically observed antigen test or PCR to show that I have Covid to get a certificate with the date. That way, I will be able to prove that I have COVID for more than 15 days before my cruise and get the exception. It's plan B and I hope I won't have to do that.
