#1TravelMom Posted August 20, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2022 Look no further. We have cruised for 35+ years. We met Rony on our first visit to Roatan 15+/- years ago. We have very high standards when it comes to excursions. Rony speaks perfect English, he is always waiting when we arrive and is very friendly. He's trustworthy and will do everything to make sure you make wonderful memories while in Roatan. We have a great visit every time!

There are a couple of bad Google reviews but overall good. Any details on their overall reliability and the experience would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'd love to know about the "Wild on Wildlife" tour from anyone who has done it. Seems like a lot of spots for such a short amount of time, so I'm curious how long we'd be at each place. I think you need to understand they are a broker site that operates throughout the Caribbean. The tours are as good as the tour operators they sub-contract to, which often times can be someone you could have booked independently. That said, we have used them without any problems in other locations. You need to consider them as administrators. My biggest problem with brokers is their descriptions and photos are often inaccurate and it is difficult sometimes to get details from them, if you want to know something specific. So they would sub-contract to somebody like Rony's or Victor Bodden? We've done those and were pleased, but this one has some different options for a cheaper price. #1TravelMom Posted September 6 #8 Share Posted September 6 We always book directly with Rony. I wouldn't take a chance on getting a random driver. Many of the drivers there speak very little English. Rony and his drivers have great English and can make sure you have the best day possible!
IWantToLiveOverTheSea Posted 1 hour ago #9 Share Posted 1 hour ago (edited) What companies/locations does Carnival generally use for its animal excursions? Or any other cruise company, if anyone knows? Roatan will be very crowded the day I'll be there on a cruise, so I'm curious. As for Rony's, Victor Bodden's, and Roatan's Cruise Excursions, I haven't used any of them. But I'm thinking that a 4 hour excursion to the places described by the last company can be done, if you don't spend a LOT of time at each place. But I would verify that the "stops" to see sloths, iguanas, etc. include actual visits to these places, and that you won't have to pay extra to go inside the locations. Bodden, and I believe Rony, usually specify what activities are extra, and list the charge for each. For example, Bodden's base price tour is $40 per person right now, but if you want to visit his monkey & sloth park, you add $10 pp; Sherman Arch's iguana park is $15 pp. These add-ons appear to be priced the same as if you were able to walk to the parks and pay the admission price. I've seen a list of taxi prices on the internet - not exactly cheap, but they do include round trip transportation, with the driver waiting for you. Even if you don't use Rony, I have to say that his website is incredibly helpful in seeing quite a few places I was totally unfamiliar with. And his prices are very reasonable.
