lasekeye Posted September 6, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2022 I’ve read great reviews about the Steak House chocolate cake and the cheesecake. Can I get both?
Mr305 Posted September 6, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 6, 2022 I’ve never tried taking one to go but have had 2 different desserts, they don’t give you a hard time, want you to be happy.
wemjam Posted September 6, 2022 #3 Share Posted September 6, 2022 I would imagine you wouldn't have any issues if you ask. Servers are usually pretty good about trying to make you happy.
kelkel2 Posted September 6, 2022 #4 Share Posted September 6, 2022 I know you can get dessert to go. But can you get a second dessert to go? Not sure. I bet you could. I know some who have gotten more than 1 appetizer before so I don’t see the difference.
pe4all Posted September 6, 2022 #5 Share Posted September 6, 2022 If with someone, split one dessert, take other to go. The desserts we have had have been large enough for 2. We always end up leaving 1/2 on the plate which is wasteful imho.

Yes as ordering more than one. I ordered all three icecream flavers. However, we wanted to take some items to go. The answer was NO.
Rare Saint Greg Posted September 6, 2022 #7 Share Posted September 6, 2022 (edited) I took desserts to go at the Steakhouse and Cucina on Magic. The Cucina server specified they couldn't do ice cream to go. And they weren't second desserts. Edited September 6, 2022 by Saint Greg
Rare lazydayz Posted September 6, 2022 #8 Share Posted September 6, 2022 I hope they would say no to eating dessert there and then taking another to go. I like the idea for a couple to split one dessert, and ask for the other to go. That seems fair, as the couple paid for two desserts.
Drew B 58 Posted September 6, 2022 #9 Share Posted September 6, 2022 The idea is to have one appetizer (although they sometimes allow two, especially if one is a soup or a salad), one entree, one side and one dessert per person. That’s what you have paid for. I think it puts your server in an awkward position by asking, where they have to either violate policy or disappoint guests. the MDR is a different story, as they make it clear that you are WELCOME to order as many of any course as you like.
LHARTWICK Posted September 6, 2022 #10 Share Posted September 6, 2022 I've read that the steakhouse is cracking down on ordering two appetizers. Apparently they are enforcing only one appetizer allowed per person. If that's the case, I would think they would say no to eating a dessert there and ordering another to go (for the same person). lasekeye Posted September 6, 2022 Author #11 Share Posted September 6, 2022 Hmmm, what if I don’t order an appetizer?….can I trade an appetizer for a desert? 😜 The suggestion to share with hubby…is a great idea, but he’s diabetic (NO sweet things & doesn’t like cheesecake). sgttami Posted September 7, 2022 #12 Share Posted September 7, 2022 I've been to the Steakhouse on different cruises and one time I ordered 3 appetizers but no entree and no dessert. No problem.

I'm not falling for that "I'll just have a bite of yours" routine! 1

So is he going to forego dessert? If so, just order the one you want to eat there and he can order the other one to go. That shouldn’t be a problem.
