Rare Presto2 Posted October 29, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2022 We had originally booked a Christmas cruise for Dec 2023 but we are thinking of moving it to a Carribean cruise in the February of 2024. We've seen a Christmas cruise on Aurora from Southampton for Christmas and New Year 2024 which looks really appealing. Have never sailed on her but she reminds us of Oceana and we loved that ship - it is also adults only which is a bonus. There is also the same Azura fly cruise and we like that ship too. Just wondering if anyone has done a Christmas cruise from Southampton - just a bit worried about the weather - and if anyone has been on Aurora for this occasion. Thanks
No pager thank you Posted October 29, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2022 Yes, we have been on Aurora for Christmas a few years ago from Southampton, before the pandemic; highly recommended. IMHO, as a "cold" cruise it is special to go to the Christmas Market in Oslo (or the village of Drobak), Tivoli in Copenhagen and a trip to Bruges (or possibly Brussels which has a great market). Weather is no worse than at home. We are off to the Canaries this Christmas.
