Be sure to watch for casino happy hours. Sometimes they specify that they are giving out five dollars per person and sometimes they just call it a happy hour, but then they are putting out five dollars credit on your card. It’s not clear in the daily so ask every day The Happy hour is a good and it certainly is not promoted a lot. I look for the time posted on the Celebrity Today. The times and days varies and it onl last one hour, which I guess the reason they call it Happy Hour. 18 hours ago, cruisestitch said: Two beefs… it’s chilly in cellar masters and Cafe al Bacio the music playing in Tuscan Grille at breakfast is awful. I would linger over a second cup of coffee but it is so harsh and unpleasant I can’t stand it Do you like the changes in Cellar Master to Craft Social. It certainly seems much busier. I miss the old cellar master with hardly anyone there, but I can understand why they changed it. if you are on board today, look for a guy in a bright yellowish golf shirt, stop and say hello. I would love to meet you in person. Jim
Rare cruisestitch Posted November 14, 2022 Author #52 Share Posted November 14, 2022 Saw a rather drunk man last night who was letting everyone know by means of the t shirt he was wearing on which he had scribbled “Celebrity sucks” that he was having a miserable time. He had put out over $500 to buy a ticket home so he could disembark today from St. Maarten. Why? Because he was denied entry to the MDR because he was wearing shorts. he knew before he boarded what the policy was but he somehow thought that an exception would be made for him and when it wasn’t he got obnoxious. no sympathy here. He was willing to buy a t shirt on which to scribble his message but not to buy a pair of long pants. safe journey home, sir 6

Rare cruisestitch Posted November 14, 2022 Author #55 Share Posted November 14, 2022 I will guess that there are fewer than 20 children. Cruise Criticsuggest you start there
metla Posted November 15, 2022 #56 Share Posted November 15, 2022 What specialty restaurants would you recommend? We've been on Silhouette before and I think we did Murano and Tuscan. We are not Retreat or Aqua, so we'll be doing main dining and a couple of specialty. Any dining reviews would be appreciated.
Rare cruisestitch Posted November 15, 2022 Author #57 Share Posted November 15, 2022 Tuscan — easy to fill up on bread and the charcuterie plate. Steaks there have all been good. Spumoni donuts are a great, if filling dessert lawn Club Grill — my favorite. Steaks, kebabs, and flatbreads are delicious. Don’t miss the warm cookie dessert
DEERINH2O Posted November 15, 2022 #58 Share Posted November 15, 2022 Thanks for the review. We board on Thursday. First time on Celebrity we are excited. How has the weather been? Anything you recommend for first time Celebrity cruisers. We have cruised a lot with other brands. Thanks
Rare cruisestitch Posted November 15, 2022 Author #59 Share Posted November 15, 2022 Weather has been great except for some showers in St. Maarten. They keep the air conditioning on throughout the ship so you might want to bring a sweater.

TeaBag Posted November 16, 2022 #62 Share Posted November 16, 2022 Lawn Club Grill. The filet is awesome, the hot chocolate cookie dessert is also wonderful. Been there 5 times now and it has always been fabulous. you can get 30% off if you dine there the first night.
Rare cruisestitch Posted November 17, 2022 Author #63 Share Posted November 17, 2022 I don’t know what the hangup is but it is 7:15 AM and the walk offs have not started. The line for the walk off stretches from the central staircase back to Tuscan and then circles on itself again almost back to ensemble.!

The old basketball court or maybe a place in the gym? My sister-in-law who is traveling with us next March asked if I knew. I do not. Didn't see an answer to your questions. There is no place to play pickleball. Originally there was a Basketball Court where they offer pickleball on some ships. During revolution it was removed and became part of the Retreat Sun Deck.

Rare cruisestitch Posted November 18, 2022 Author #67 Share Posted November 18, 2022 I never tried to make a video call. I used calling over Wi-Fi frequently. I had the stream package so it worked fine all the time.

Just got off Cunard’s QV and the dress code certainly wasn’t adhered to in Queens Grill which was disappointing. Can’t wait to return hand hopefully the obnoxious guy will cruise elsewhere! BridgeMates Posted November 20, 2022 #71 Share Posted November 20, 2022 We were on this cruise with two other couples. Frankly I was a bit worried after reading so many comments about poor choices/availability of wine, no prime rib, etc. etc. We all had the classic package and had no problem upgrading wines for a couple of dollars in the DR. In fact we found a Cabernet in the classic package available in the Passport, Ensemble and OV bars that was excellent. I can't remember the name of it, but the bottle had two crossed swords on the label. The cabin and the ship are in great shape. Found the waiters and bar staff exceptional throughout the ship. Did not notice any lack of service due to short staffing or other problems. The Silhouette has always been our favorite ship and we look forward to returning in April with family members. The ports are fine if you like water/beach, sightseeing tours; otherwise, there's not much in the pier areas and it's Hot! At our age though we are happy to just enjoy the ship, especially views from the back deck outside the OV buffet. They had numerous trivia and other games. Only complaint was we thought the combo in the Ensemble bar was way too loud in the evening. Dining room food doesn't seem as great as it used to be but we could always find something to eat. Desserts are always good. We've been on the Edge and almost all of the other ships. Silhouette remains our favorite!
Rare cruisestitch Posted November 20, 2022 Author #72 Share Posted November 20, 2022 I would say that it is mine too, mostly because of Lawn Club Grill. Reflection has that also but I don’t care or reflection as a ship as much.

This is becoming a trend this year. There was someone on the table next to us on Silhouette in August. I suspect it’s because there are insufficient staff to enforce the rules. Alakegirl Posted November 20, 2022 #74 Share Posted November 20, 2022 But the report here is that the rule WAS enforced. So what trend do you make from this?
Mike07 Posted November 20, 2022 #75 Share Posted November 20, 2022 How is the food on the Silhouette? Do you feel as though there is variety in the breakfast and lunch menus? I'm potentially doing a B2B in summer 2023 as this ship has a few itineraries that interest me.
