What is the least amount of $$$ spent?

Not including excursions & tips.

I spent way too much on our last 2 disney cruises. I am just hoping that I won't do that this time. I bought way too many pictures that I didn't need.

If you don't drink or gamble, you're close to achieving your goal. Eliminating the cost for photos helps, too. How about: bingo, art auctions, martini (marguerita) clinics, certain exercise classes, spa treatments, internet access, souvenirs, and surcharge restaurants? I'm sure there are other miscellaneous expenses, but those are the ones that come to mind for me.

Other than your $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under for tips, it is possible not to spend a penny. I am not sure how good of a time you would have if you are concerned about spending. Example: tours, certainly you will want to do a lttle sight seeing and I don't mean just walking around, if the children are going to spend anytime in the kids camp you will need to tip the counselors, at least that is customary thing. What about little things like, maybe T shirts or eating in one of the specialty restaurants just once. I know you didn't say you intend on not spending money so maybe we all jumping to conclusions. In all honesty it would be very hard to not spend something. Depending on your habits I would expect a reasonable amount would be about $50 to $100 per day at a minumum. You didn't say how many or the ages of the children. If they are older and want to hang out with others they may feel out of place if they don't have some money. NMnita

I have two cruise ship excursions booked and a whale watching with Capt. Larry. I am not planning on spending no money. Just wondering how inexpensively I can do this trip. My dd's are 12 & 9. They have their own spending money. I am sure my husband will try his hand at the casinos. I didn't do bingo on my past cruises, so I probably won't here.

Other than tips..drinks..and the t-shirt sale on the last day..we don't put much on our sign and sail card. We bring a budgeted amount of cash for the casino and try to do shore excursions by private taxi or walk to attractions.

In Juneau we walked (hiked) up Mt Roberts...if you buy something in the gift shop the tram ride down is free..

In Sitka (I believe it was) we walked about a mile or two to the raptor center where they rehabilitate injured birds..a great complex and very informative day!

You can do cruises on quite a budget if you choose to and have great memories. DH and I don't like organized touristy attractoins anyway...

It sounds like you will be able to keep the prices down pretty well. I didn't think you were expecting to spend nothing, as for bingo, this is one thing we never play. I do like the casinos, but I can take $50 to the casino and play for a heck of a lot longer than I can play bingo for the same amount of time. NMnita

On my last cruise on the Dawn I did manage to overhear and see my neighbors bill when she was discussing it with her friend. It was for only $70.00!!!! Then I looked at mine . Mine had an extra 0 added on to that figure. I must add that they were elderly ladies and traveling alone. But I guess it can be done. Of course not by me.:)

Enjoy!
