marne-c Posted November 21, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2022 (edited) My wife and I, RSSC newbies on the Navigator, just bought Future Cruise Certificates. On our previous sailings on other lines, FCC's like these always were a good deal. We've used them to purchase and re-schedule cruises often. We occasionally returned them for full credit without issue. True on Regent too? --Marne Edited November 21, 2022 by marne-c
Pcardad Posted November 21, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2022 So you give Regent your money today and use it for a cruise in the future....what is the advantage to doing this over depositing a cruise? You are still bound by the cancellation policy. Do you get the FCC at a discount?
Moosemarty Posted November 21, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 21, 2022 Thank you for making your future deposit with Regent Seven Seas Cruises. You have up to one year to select your next voyage and earn the applicable Onboard Booking Savings as offered on your next sailing. Onboard Booking Savings varies from $300 to $4,000 per suite based on sailing date and suite category selected, and is combinable with current savings offers including any applicable Seven Seas Society savings at time of voyage selection. Your Future Cruise Deposit will satisfy the new booking deposit requirement and no further payments will be necessary (subject to the terms and conditions below) up until the final payment date. Your deposit is fully refundable until the expiration date. Future Cruise Deposit may be transferred from one voyage to another one time only.
Pcardad Posted November 21, 2022 #4 Share Posted November 21, 2022 Sounds reasonable if you only get a very small amount!
mrlevin Posted November 21, 2022 #5 Share Posted November 21, 2022 Pcardadl, they are essential if new cruises willl be released prior to getting on your next cruise. Yes, you could make a dummy booking and move it over but these are easier.

You lock in all the perks you get with an On Board booking such as reduced deposit, OBC, etc.. Then when you find a cruise you like, you can use the FCC to book. We did this very thing in July. We were on Navigator and there was a cruise soon to be released, but after we got home, that we wanted. We bought an FCC and when the cruise was released had our TA activate it. Got the cruise at a very significant lower deposit and got the other perks too. If you simply book a cruise on board with the intent to change the booking, you only get one change. With an FCC you can book a cruise later (within the time constraint), and still have the one "free" move. That's the real advantage to booking an FCC onboard.
