Earlier, after hearing about this noon's seafood extravaganza we witnessed the pool attendant ask a large group sunning themselves on the YC sundeck for identification and all 10 he asked to leave. One of the 'gentlemen' offered the pool attendant money to stay. He backed away. We felt bad (for the pool attendant). DW tells me to tip him more. He confides that he can generally tell if someone belongs in the YC. Those outside YC are generally disrespectful of themselves and others. When they sneak into the YC they do not respect the rules and smoke where they please. He says YC guests respect each other and follow rules. Would you PM his name and I will take care of him also next week. Great report and very useful.

Rare morpheusofthesea Posted January 2, 2023 Author #156 Share Posted January 2, 2023 The two most controversial topics (besides tipping) on any cruise ship are the food and the entertainment. We can say that we are looking forward to repeat the same menus this next cruise. Not as enthusiastic, but still willing to repeat the production shows in the Chora Theatre with a more appreciative attitude. Find it most difficult not to compare these shows with those we have come to appreciate on the Seashore. But having seen the 'new' shows being performed on the 'new' Celebrity Beyond, the shows are similar with no story lines, just singing, dancing and acrobatics. Neither line has any 'headliner' acts. Just sat through a couple hours of the Le Cabaret Rouge mini performances. They are the same every night. Singer/MC Samulus, a back-up band of 4, a slap-stick juggler, a hula-hoop act, and a female singer.

Rare morpheusofthesea Posted January 2, 2023 Author #161 Share Posted January 2, 2023 We left from Terminal C but returned to the Port of Miami at Terminal D. Not bad for the same parking garage C. Rare morpheusofthesea Posted January 2, 2023 Author #165 Share Posted January 2, 2023 Got up early for turn around breakfast at 6:30 am. Usually breakfast is open at 7:30. Walked around deck 8 outside this am and noticed most every bar is closed, except Top Sail Lounge Bar is open.
Rare morpheusofthesea Posted January 2, 2023 Author #166 Share Posted January 2, 2023 It is almost 11am and still no zero count . The bulk of our B2B group is assembled in the TSL waiting to be escorted off the ship when all the other passengers are off(zero count). Know one family in our group from the Netherlands took a Miami tour.(might turn out they were the smartest).
Rare morpheusofthesea Posted January 2, 2023 Author #167 Share Posted January 2, 2023 They just set up this display cart featuring today’s lunch and dinner menus. Oldsweets Posted January 2, 2023 #168 Share Posted January 2, 2023 Would be interested in hearing/seeing any input on YC Deck parties etc that you saw? Our only other YC cruise saw cancelations as a result of stormy weather and just wonder what we might see in 2 weeks? Thanks

Rare morpheusofthesea Posted January 2, 2023 Author #171 Share Posted January 2, 2023 11:36 zero count achieved when about a dozen passengers were finally gotten off the ship. B2B allowed to get off ship escorted by butlers but behind all the other B2B guests. Then the hold up in the terminal waiting for the last holdouts that left the ship to dilly dally collecting their luggage from the carousel as CBP (customs and border protection) will NOT process the B2Bs until these zeros are processed. We are told to bring our passports with us with our new key cards given to us this morning and our photos taken the afternoon before at the concierge desk. The passports would be needed ONLY if the facial recognition apparatus was not working. we waited in line for CBP about 25 minutes for the zeros to be processed and we were back on the ship by 12:05. The new Yacht Club passengers were boarded at the same time we were. One could tell the difference between us just by the smiles on their faces. The last deck party was on Seashore that we attended. Moon over San Juan, conga line around deck to the tune "Volare". Great buffet at One Pool deck. We are aging rather quickly as time really goes by more rapidly now. We are in bed by 10-11 pm. Sorry. I'll leave it to the younger amongst us to report. Here are a couple 6 second clips. Rare morpheusofthesea Posted January 2, 2023 Author #173 Share Posted January 2, 2023 This is a first time for us to see this sign on the closed doors on every deck as the cabins are being cleaned. When one is butlered direct to ones already cleaned cabin in the YC one misses some things. We would first go to lunch and then back to the cabin to wait for our luggage to arrive. We also had a great YC deck party on Seashore. I have the names of those 3 butlers who were dancing up near the pool but I don't have the list with me. I spoke to one of them for a while about their dancing (they have a routine that isn't The Macarena), his family back home, how they got through Covid, etc. Good times. Thanks.
