Very true, but you could also just sit in front of your T.V. and watch you tube videos of life in cabin XXX on XXXX of the Seas and others on cruising on XXXX of the Seas and others on the virtual port tours and you could also use the kid's sand box as a beach. That would certainly save yourself the cost and hassle of actually lugging those Vitamin C pills around with you and on to the ship. But where's the adventure in that? Life's an adventure - juice it! 😉
LXA350 Posted January 2, 2023 #53 Share Posted January 2, 2023 The "fresh" OJ onboard especially in MDR or CK has always been a mistery to me. The product they serve is either diluted with water or they add sugar or it's some concentrate. Getting simple freshly squeezed juice seems to be a big issue at RCL and X. shipgeeks Posted January 2, 2023 #54 Share Posted January 2, 2023 There is the OJ from the dispensers (free) and there is fresh-squeezed which costs (or in my case, one of my D+ vouchers). A world of difference!

They used oranges that were rancid. It tasted like acid. Burned my throat. Stupid to use oranges they had to have known by the feel were bad. I had spent the money for fresh squeezed orange juice last month on HOTS - I won't make that mistake again. The orange juice from concentrate had a better flavor than their fresh squeezed. FlGoodShips Posted January 3, 2023 #57 Share Posted January 3, 2023 Yes. You can take a manual juicer. I have done it. There are no blades. Mine is plastic. Good luck and enjoy your cruise.

Maybe one day it would have developed into a great comedi-hen! You food porn-ers don't care about any of that. 😥 You just drool over disgusting photos of it's panko bread crumb-crusted carcass, cut open for all to gawk at, while it releases its delicious parsley and garlic butter sauce hidden inside. SHAME, SHAME on you all! Man, I'm getting hungry. 😋 hahahahahahaha!!!! OMG

Much the same way that some varieties of apples are better for cooking, while others are better for eating out of hand.
ronandcarla Posted January 17, 2023 #64 Share Posted January 17, 2023 The amount of stupid things people want to bring on board of the ship amazes me, i.e. water, soda, now an orange juicer.

It worked great and my mom made a game out of it for my brother and I, so my brother and I would happily do the OJ thing every Saturday and Sunday morning. Mom was happy to be doing other breakfast things, like cooking the "blood pudding" to go with the eggs. Then, during the Jr. High School and High School, (In South Florida, BTW) "Tang" came into being/popular culture. After all, we all wanted to be astronauts, right! Thanks for bringing back that nightmare from my childhood. 😬 I was born and started out in Montreal with an English Mom and an Irish Dad. Blood/black Pudding, Liver and Onions, Mashed peas, and Spotted something (can't say the word around here, but it's a desert that had beef fat and dried fruits) and that word sounds like that guy from the Rolling Stones. 🤢 And it's not Spotted Keith or Spotted Charlie. 😉 Didn't the Brits rule the world at some point? Why couldn't they steal some better food recipes along their travels?

Apparently black pudding, or blood pudding as I believe it is known in the States, came to the UK from Europe and apparently was a favoured dish of the Romans. We can take no credit for this delicacy 😀
