Rare nyold Posted January 2, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2023 Hello, I am sailing the Spectrum of the Seas in March, and am buying a beverage package. My questions are: 1. For things like water and soda, I assume every lounge will have it? So if I'm doing things far away from the buffet (say near the shops, or near the theater etc) then I can get these pretty easily? 2. But for things like iced tea and lemonade, are they only available in the Windjammer? I know the restaurants will have them too but I supposed I can't get them easily without "sitting down" in the said restaurants. 3. For the tea and coffee shop on deck 4, what kind of specialty coffees are they serving? Is it like lattes, frappucinos type, similar to what you'd find on a Starbucks? TIA! Biker19 Posted January 2, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2023 1. Yes. 2. The venues on deck four may have them. 3. The specialty coffees are more likely to be available at La Pattisserie across the hall and yes, Starbucks like drinks. There's very little feedback from Spectrum so things could work a bit differently on her than other Q class ships.

There will be other places to get the free lemonade, a cafe or sorrentos the pizza place. The specialty coffee is Starbucks... not to be confused with stand alone starbucks which is also on some ships. Allure had both. There is a hot and cold menu of coffees. Yes like starbucks. Most places will have red bull and different waters for grabbing. I had to go to the vitality bar at the spa to get vitamin and power aide drinks. ..though they did have the power aide on carts on ice on port days to push selling it when you were getting off the ship. ARandomTraveler Posted January 2, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2023 Does your March sailing have beverage packages available in your cruise planner yet? My July sailing on Spectrum only shows a "soda plus Voom" package.

renza Posted January 2, 2023 #7 Share Posted January 2, 2023 My son flew to Singapore and got on Spectrum yesterday. Omg he loves the ship more than all other royal ships he has been on. He has gone on Anthem but said the vibe is so different out of Asia. Lucky kid, he is 24 and did a Royal internship with Royal over summer and are letting him take cruises nearly free. Have fun.

This is a 3-night sailing, and prices per day are 90, 41, and 15 SGD. So in USD using today's rate it would be 67, 30, and 11. So around your estimates, plus minus a little bit. Did he do an internship on a ship, or in a corporate office? I need to get my daughter to look into that 😂 maybe she can help their IT department. Spectrum is exactly the same as other ship, it is a USA based ship, with English spoken and USD currency. Although some products may be different (brand of water) there is no difference. Coke products are sold around the world, and also coffee.

Been on 3 different Asian cruises, and outside some variations, and dual language announcements, it is the same. Some brands are different but how things are handled are no changes. Spectrum Has a Tea and Coffee shop, in place of the English Pub, since in Asia, drinking Tea is a major item. The shop is within a few feet where you have a coffee stand on her sisters. Main difference is that it is bigger, and has lots of tea drinks. My answer is that the products (including the fancy coffee drinks) are the same as all the other ship, and with it being based in Asia, is not really different. Yes, the coffee is literally 25 steps from the location on other ships, but the offerings are the same. But they are expanded. This shop also had desserts but I'm think it was a charge for it also. Coffee and Tea, if you had a package it was included. I would not call it different (the coffee part) but the tea side it was extremely better. kccrzr Posted February 3, 2023 #19 Share Posted February 3, 2023 My daughter and I just got off Spectrum. We had a fabulous time Although this question wasn’t asked, others may be interested in knowing that from day 1 on, they were selling a 10 drink card for $80. Signs were posted at the bars

Signs were posted at the bars Since you've both sailed on Spectrum by now, can you confirm that there are in fact no freestyle machines? And if there really are no freestyle machines, what kind of soda can you get at the bar? Someone mentioned in another thread that it was hard to get Coke products in Asia, so I'm curious if they have different brands, or if they simply don't have soda at all? What is Sichuan Red - where Sorrentos usually is? What is Star Moment - where Boleros usually is? I see Golden Room / VIP casino where DL is, extending into music Hall? Sorrentos is by WJ. There is a Teppanyaki and a Noodle bar in WJ Aft cabins where the CL usually is on d12 Unique Silver lounge and dining near Solarium Unique Gold lounge and dining on d16 - what is The Balcony in that area? Solarium is split for Silver and non Silver. Silver dining is excellent.

I’m now really intrigued to see how different things are on her! I'm on this ship at the end of July and will be curious to see how different the ship feels with all the areas that are blocked off for suite guests only. I would have loved to book a Junior suite and get double points (24), but my particular sailing hasn't had a junior suite listed for less than $8,000 for the last 10 months. And a regular junior suite doesn't get you any of the suite perks on this ship. You had to get a "Sky" Junior suite for those, and that was somewhere around $16,000, and it sold out months ago. I've watched several YouTube videos of this ship and the windjammer looks like it's always full of delicious food. Very different from the usual windjammers. We shall see...
