kelbell Posted January 4, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2023 Morning, we just did our check in, where do I see our table assignment? I viewed our set sail pass and it's not on there. Or will it come later? Sailing 2/18/23. Thank you.

Rare island lady Posted January 4, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2023 And of course...that is for traditional dining only....not MTD.
BND Posted January 4, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2023 (edited) It will also show up on the app, usually day of. They don't assign tables until the cruise before so it appears on your seapass card and the app but not until boarding day. It's assigned by the maitre'd onboard. irishgal432 Posted January 4, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 4, 2023 I normally go to the dining room after boarding to see where the table is so I don't have to wait in the long line waiting to be escorted to the table. There are normally Head Waiters at the podium on boarding day.
Rare island lady Posted January 4, 2023 #6 Share Posted January 4, 2023 Funny story, we did Giovani's the first night on Serenade last month. I had politely told the dining room manager in advance that we would not be at our table that night, but would be with them the rest of the week. "No problem" he said, and apparently gave our assigned table away that night from what our table neighbors told us later on. We seated ourselves that next night, ordered some wine, and had a head waiter with a lot of attitude stride over and demand in not such a nice tone "Is this your assigned table?". Keeping my cool, I simply said.. "Hmm...let me check". Pulled out my card, showed him the number, then picked up the number on the table.. "Hey..it's a match!" I smiled at him. He was a tad taken down at that point...and tried to make an effort to be nice and check on us whenever possible after that. Found out later that the couple that were given that table on the first night had demanded to have that table for the rest of the week. Sheeeezz....

One of the biggest problems with cruises Is the language barrier with staff I have had a several simple(what seem simple) Go completely the wrong way because they(staff) don't understand completely what your are implying. Standing in long line first day.....especially when DH wants to have lunch instead. Now I understand if we want to go on Serenade and not wait in a long line every night for My Time, we have to book Traditional. Island lady were you able to get a table for two? Was it in a nice location? I think you mentioned in another thread that the times for Traditional on Serenade (early) were 5:15 or: 5:30.

Didn't use first night did BOGO. Second getting ready to go got call from hotel director who is a friend to eat with him in Chops. Third night didn't go didn't like menu. Fourth night went saT at our table . I think it was an asst head waiter who said we were at the wrong table and he moved us to a real bad table and he embarrassed my family and lied to us and said table numbers change after different seating. I didn't tell my friend the HD but he found out and we had dinner with him again on the cruise and I did hear the guy got a written reprimand. Always a table for two, without having to ask.
