I did two crossings last year in a third deck single cabin, and it isn't noisy at all. There's a poster in another thread who said that the corridor is used when the nighclub turns out, but I didn't notice this on any of my crossings. There was hardly ever anyone walking down the corridor - just people going to and from their rooms, or the cabin attendant - and the only noise I heard was a little bit through the wall from the cabin adjoining. The steps and heavy fire doors at each end of the corridor make it feel secluded from the rest of the ship. These cabins are very good - but also very popular - and highly recommended if you can get one! Edited January 16, 2023 by IB2

Lynnewob Posted January 18, 2023 #6 Share Posted January 18, 2023 (edited) Pics attached of 3002 - had the cabin twice 5nts HK-SIN and 2nts Ston-Hamburg pre-pandemic. It's the first cabin in the corridor and you will occasionally hear the fire door shut but generally it's a quiet area with little foot traffic as many see the closed door and don't go through it. There are those that use it to cut thru to the Queens Room and G32. Very quietly but do cut thru sincere Upper Britannia is serving dinner. Many aren't attracted to cut thru the Art Gallery. Having been in a ‘long corridor’ standard cabin before, I’d say the foot traffic along those is much higher, especially if you are near a laundry. We looked to cut through, saw the doors, and went instead through the Art Gallery. The Art Gallery was great; bought a painting... (and I'm not normally in to art) It can be temporarily blocked by Alex's talks but he directs people through Britannia restaurant

Like dining in Grand Central Station or Waterloo Station with people transiting BTW your tables. Doors are normally closed. I wouldn't out of courtesy. Different than going thru that corridor IMHO...

No no.. he was giving art talks in the gallery (early afternoon) which meant people couldn't go through it and he directed them to walk through Britannia (not to use the opposite corridor)
