damiross Posted January 18, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2023 The personalizer shows 2 card decks that can be purchased prior to your cruise. One is $3.95. The other is $5.95. I cannot tell the difference between the two. I've noticed this difference for a long time now. Anybody know what the difference is?
cruisingrob21 Posted January 18, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2023 Can't tell the difference either. Before COVID they used to sell used casino cards for $1 per deck. Although used, these were very high quality cards with a Princess Cruises logo. They were large font and had "thumb indents" on the side for ease of handling. You may want to consider checking if they still sell these
Steelers36 Posted January 18, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2023 I have never seen this as I would bring my own cards to the ship or access the free ones provided in the Library games area (typically). But I would order the lower priced ones.
Thrak Posted January 18, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2023 (edited) They used to sell a set of cards at Crooner's that had a different drink recipe on the back of each one. 52 different drinks. I gave one to each of my sons but foolishly didn't get a deck for myself. Sadly, they don't sell them anymore. As for the difference between the two decks you are seeing in the Personalizer... Sounds weird to me. Princess weirdness at it's finest. Edit: Just looked at the offerings and it seems that pretty much everything in that list has two entries with different pricing. Very odd indeed. Edited January 18, 2023 by Thrak
Rare PacnGoNow Posted January 18, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 18, 2023 Sounds like another fumble by the pricing updating team!!! Buy those quickly. Maybe, they will come back and delete the OLD price? They were $3.95 in the gift shop. 😳
MissP22 Posted January 18, 2023 #6 Share Posted January 18, 2023 Wow. They used to give them away for free in the library. Bring them from home.
ChattTenn Posted January 18, 2023 #7 Share Posted January 18, 2023 We used to get them at Customer Service desk for FREE. We got several from different lines as collection items.

I believe they also had the two prices several years ago. It would be nice if Princess was actually more descriptive. They might get more sales if they did. Thrak Posted January 18, 2023 #9 Share Posted January 18, 2023 For the cards my only thought would be that the less expensive cards may be used Casino cards whereas the more expensive cards could be new/unused cards. Of course that doesn't account for the various perfumes or colognes that have more than one price but the same description.
Tonsoffun44 Posted January 18, 2023 #10 Share Posted January 18, 2023 Been wondering about the cards being different prices myself - also the reversible jacket no choice in sizes???
Rare Shelly97060 Posted January 25, 2023 #11 Share Posted January 25, 2023 I went and checked the gift shop today… the $5.95 version have Stanley on them and are in a plastic case. The $3.95 cards are in a paper box and have the ship on them. 1

They will never pay you for the cards . I think the Stanley cards are the free ones. You are paying 6 bucks for the imported Plastic case!
cruzsnooze Posted January 26, 2023 #15 Share Posted January 26, 2023 If all else fails you can buy them on ebay.

You seem to be totally dismissing the possibility that the perfumes or colognes could be "returns"! 😄

Someone said you take the voucher to the shop to pick it up. That being the case, why do they ask you to select a delivery day? Does anyone have an opinion on the jacket? The picture is too small for me to see much detail. I expand, but it’s not clear. Assuming the price is the same on board, I guess I will look in person and make a decision there. Rare startedwithamouse Posted January 27, 2023 #18 Share Posted January 27, 2023 They don't say Royal Princess on the cards, only on the box.
