CruisePfan Posted February 1, 2023 #5 Share Posted February 1, 2023 (edited) But it is not showing the world cruise on the Serenity! No cruises from Dec 13, 2023 to July 2, 2024. Edited February 1, 2023 by CruisePfan typo in date
cruisr Posted February 1, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 1, 2023 It is also not showing 9/27 Can/NE which is part of a series. Really bad introduction to Crystal 2.0. Not impressed. The cruise from Mia to Lax and Lax to PPT in January would be pretty important as well as the rest of the WC.

It's legitimately hilarious that you're upset about a website taking more than nine seconds to be fully live.
Txcotn Posted February 1, 2023 #8 Share Posted February 1, 2023 (edited) Looks like there is no Japanese restaurants on either ship! And unless they've reconfigured and updated Avenue on Serenity, it still shows those 🤯🤯🤯🤯poles that everyone hates, as well as the filthy "white" chairs in the Cove.......did they just cut and paste? KenzSailing Posted February 1, 2023 #10 Share Posted February 1, 2023 First blush: Solo cruises who don't need a veranda should be most pleased. I'd take a hard look. For couples, the step-up from veranda balcony to Aquamarine(old PH) is tempting. I can't tell if Crystal is now bundling port & taxes. Further analysis in the morning required. And yes, a lot of cruises on the "cheat sheets" are not on the website yet.

Rare May B Posted February 1, 2023 #14 Share Posted February 1, 2023 They’re obviously finding this to be more challenging than they expected! I’m confident that things will run more smoothly once we step onboard. In fact, I’ve heard that exact comment, about multiple cruise lines. I love that the basic veranda cabin is barely more than the deck seven. And I agree with Larry, the Aquamarine is a reasonable increase, too. Remember, you all do you, I’ll do me.

We already know there will be sushi restaurants on both ships. The poles in the Serenity Avenue are structural, preferable to the deck above caving in on a performance. Little premature to make conclusions about the soft goods. In other words:

A big chunk of that will be the 2024 World Cruise, which I suspect has not been "nailed down" yet. That is what we will be looking for when it is released. Where that ends will determine the rest of the open dates. Given Serenity will be in Alaska Summer 2024, my best WAG (Wild Assed Guess) is the WC may well end in Miami in maybe April. Not sure the pre-Covid prices were doing that. 3

The space for Silk Road/Umi Uma (ie, Nobu) is unlabeled, as is the casino. Why is unclear. I think it's pretty likely that there will be a Sushi forward speciality restaurant on both ships, but it's very possible it gets in house branding and a new menu, a new partnership, or a renewed Nobu partnership. The casino is a bigger question mark. There's no galley there. It would be hard to turn it into a restaraunt, especially with the renewed nightclub on Symphony. But what else to put there if not a casino. Not sure another lounge would be useful. As for the Cove... it's highly unlikely either ship is currently in a photographable state right now; if they had the final furniture in place they'd be sailing next month not the end of summer. I'm sure they used representative old photos where relevant and new renders where enough changed. "New chairs" probably isn't enough to ditch the old photo when the space is likely to be substantively unchanged. Charging more for 215 sqft cabins than SS and SB charge for 300 sqft cabins is not exactly being competitive.

Keep in mind that many (most) are not driven by cabin size. My best clients (almost 50 cruises in ten years) are perfectly happy in an Inside room as long as it is near the library! Many who post on this board are quite content in a room on Deck 7. Personally, we prefer whatever they now call the PH/PS, but that is just us, and I don't find that pricing that terribly out of line to what we have paid on SS/SB/Regent for cruise of late.
Rare Ken the cruiser Posted February 1, 2023 #22 Share Posted February 1, 2023 (edited) Not bad pricing if they still continue to include the gratuities in the base fare, and each guest is still allowed 2 devices to access their unlimited internet services. Their cancellation fees prior to final payment are also much more reasonable than the “old” Crystal policy. Um, me from yesterday: The old casino and Umi Uma spaces show up unaltered, so I'm going to guess that they're being left blank while branding deals are being worked out. Also, I was right about the bathtubs. Agree with you on photos. Those ships are construction sites, and anyone who's been responsible for a construction site knows the magic that occurs in the last 24 hours(and sometimes after.) Texas Tillie Posted February 1, 2023 #24 Share Posted February 1, 2023 From my travel agent earlier today, there will be a sushi restaurant that may or may not be associated with Nobu. There will not be a casino. Patty 1
Rare Roland4 Posted February 1, 2023 #25 Share Posted February 1, 2023 Having had a chance to take a good look at the revised deck plans, given the major changes on Serenity's Decks 8 and 9, is a July 31 launch realistic?? Be interesting to see Vince's take on this.
