Oskial Posted February 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2023 Hi all. We have a late flight out of Ft. Lauderdale to Toronto and would like to know how late we can lounge on the ship before they kick us off. TIA
hrhdhd Posted February 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2023 Probably around 9 a.m. they will be giving you the hairy eyeball.
Mark_K Posted February 15, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2023 I’d look into an excursion, also if it’s more than a few hours, I’d look into day passes at an airport lounge.
jelayne Posted February 15, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2023 You are to vacate the cabin by 8 and they have everyone off by 9:15 at which point the B2B cruisers are processed. 4
Rare PMT51 Posted February 15, 2023 #5 Share Posted February 15, 2023 The ship will want you off fast. If you are travelling back Air Canada, no use getting to airport more than 3 hours prior to flight time. They will not take your luggage until then. You will have to wait in the terminal pre-security. No lounges there. If you don't want to do an excursion check into getting a hotel room for the day. A whole lot nicer than the airport. Jeremiah1212 Posted February 15, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 15, 2023 You'll be getting a knock on your door around 8am if you are still in the room. By 9am they will be gently telling you it's time to go. Check out www.resortpass.com there are decent options near the port for a day room well under $100. 1
mahasamatman Posted February 15, 2023 #7 Share Posted February 15, 2023 We usually debark between 9:30 and 10:00, and we've never been the last ones off (though we've been close).

Glad to see I am not sailing on any of the ships you are ending your cruises on. We had a small group of folks who were not expeditious in leaving the ship on our last B2B and it created a delay in us B2B cruisers boarding, which in turned created a ripple effect and a very large crowd waiting to board in the terminal. We've never been on board beyond 9 AM even when we try to take our time.

When was the last time you disembarked a Celebrity ship PAST 9:30am? When, where, and what ship?

Rare Jim_Iain Posted February 16, 2023 #12 Share Posted February 16, 2023 My experience on many B2B's is that last call is between 9:00 and 9:15 AM. They then zero out the ship so they can begin B2B Processing. B2B processing usually begin at 9:30. B2B are back on the Ship between 9:45 - 10:00 at most US ports. In the "Good Old Days" you could remain on the ship late for an additional fee or Free as a Zenith but they discontinued that with Covid and never implemented it again. gold1953 Posted February 16, 2023 #14 Share Posted February 16, 2023 Have fun relaxing ..aka hiding. The B2B cruisers will be at their meeting area so the hold outs will be the only cruisers hanging out. Best to leave by 9am . You could rent a car and so somewhere fun for the day with your luggage tucked safely in your trunk
davekathy Posted February 16, 2023 #15 Share Posted February 16, 2023 Cruise is over. Have a nice breakfast and disembark when your number is called. Let the crew get the ship in shape for the B2Bers and the next passengers.

It's the cattle prod at 9:30. That assumes the ship is cleared on time.
Oskial Posted February 16, 2023 Author #18 Share Posted February 16, 2023 Thanks for all the responses. Looks like we will be leaving the ship at 9:00. I don't want to be "that guy" and get the crew upset. Their job is tough enough.
lizinindy Posted February 16, 2023 #19 Share Posted February 16, 2023 As a back to backer on a ship last week, we (all 360 of us) booed the two a-holes that kept us standing in the terminal for an extended length of time because they wanted to hang out. Old folks were ending up sitting on the floor. Don’t get booed-get gone!
