JessLCH Posted March 1, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2023 I've never eaten at Palomar. How is it? Best dishes? And would you recommend for a dining companion who doesn't eat seafood at all or would you skip it? Thanks.
Karaboudjan Posted March 1, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2023 I can't recall exactly what we had, but I know that we liked it. My wife is strongly anti-seafood but I don't think she had any problems getting the filet mignon. Apart from the food Palomar stood out for the spaciousness. Part of that is probably because it has great sea views, but it also seemed like the tables were just spaced out more than at Cagney's and Onda.

Rare sid_9169 Posted March 1, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2023 I enjoyed a spectacular meal there, although I'll eat just about anything... I believe they do have a few non seafood options...
SpacemanSpiff Posted March 1, 2023 #5 Share Posted March 1, 2023 Question about Palomar (before we finalize what restaurants to eat at) -- I remember reading one review that complained that when they were dining, the noise from the racetrack above was disruptive to the meal. Was that an issue with y'all, or was that just a matter of timing, or was someone just being picky?

We were seated indoors and I believe there is an outdoor section so I guess it's possible that you might hear the karts there.
Sand and Seas Posted March 1, 2023 #7 Share Posted March 1, 2023 DH is not a seafood lover, but he enjoyed the Veal there. He also loved the Greek salad & chocolate dessert. (I had the excellent grilled lobster). We will go back to Palomar on our next Prima cruise.
curlstravel Posted March 2, 2023 #8 Share Posted March 2, 2023 I am allergic to seafood. I had the steak there and it was delicious. The desserts there were really good too.
