Thad409 Posted March 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2023 We will be on the Glory the first of July. We usually stay in a Aft Balcony and we decided to upgrade on this cruise. My question is, was it worth the few hundred more for the Ocean suite. Thanks in advance for any and all responses.
Guest BasicSailor Posted March 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2023 Well a few hundred more really isn't that much.

Cinnamon2 Posted March 15, 2023 #5 Share Posted March 15, 2023 I think it's worth it . . . larger room, larger balcony, larger bathroom with dressing room. All not absolutely necessary but very nice to have.
Theosprey247 Posted March 15, 2023 #6 Share Posted March 15, 2023 Only you can make that choice. What worth it to me may not be worth it to you.

Thad409 Posted March 15, 2023 Author #8 Share Posted March 15, 2023 This is our 4th cruise with CCL and our first cruise post covid so we were wanting a little extra room , and the aft with a 15yo gets a little crowded and booking with a casino offer I received I think it was less than 300 to go with Ocean suite.
Are.we.there.yet? Posted March 15, 2023 #9 Share Posted March 15, 2023 (edited) It's worth it with 3 people. The double sinks are really nice! I think I prefer the aft "balcony" better because of the depth but the balcony on the suite is longer. Also, the chance of the room being ready at embarkation is awesome and kinda worth it. PLUS... You get two bottles of water! LOL!!!!! Edited March 15, 2023 by Are.we.there.yet? typo

Drazil65 Posted March 15, 2023 #12 Share Posted March 15, 2023 (edited) We have 3 people in our family and now that DS is in college and adult size, it is worth it for us for sure. Also, we have cruised 3 times since restart after covid and 3 more booked at this time. We have found that the extra room in cabin and the extra space on balcony serves us very well when wanting to be further away from the crowds especially. We love to have good conversation, maybe a book and a lounge chair to relax and watch the world go by (and a glass or two of wine). No phones or computers can make for some really good family time (omg, we actually enjoy talking to one another) which is one of the reasons we cruise. Plenty of space for 3 people to be comfortable. We have been cruising for more than 20 years and our routines on a cruise ship have changed as well as our needs/wants in a cabin type. We really like an OS and on the newer, bigger ships its our go to if available. Edited March 15, 2023 by Drazil65
Cruising_Addict Posted March 16, 2023 #13 Share Posted March 16, 2023 Only you can decide what is “worth it” for you. Which probably should have been decided before booking. But anywho…personally, the only suites I feel are worth the added cost are the aft wrap suites on the Spirit class ships. Which have a separate living room and bedroom. And of course, the huge corner aft balcony.

pinklucky61 Posted March 17, 2023 #15 Share Posted March 17, 2023 Have my first ever suite (ocean) booked for next spring. Can't wait. Because of price, even with casino offer, it may be my last.
BallFour4 Posted March 18, 2023 #16 Share Posted March 18, 2023 We had one on the Glory to Canada to celebrate our 30th anniversary and it was great. Lots more space, a bigger bathroom and a change from lido balconies for my wife and I. .
jerseyjjs Posted March 18, 2023 #17 Share Posted March 18, 2023 More privacy on the Ocean Suite balcony than the aft balcony.

80sGal Posted March 26, 2023 #20 Share Posted March 26, 2023 Yes! We like the layout on Sunrise even more than the Grand Suite we had on the Horizon.
