Rare Turtles06 Posted March 24, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2023 We're embarking from Amsterdam on the HAL Rotterdam on July 1. The Cruise Port Amsterdam web site shows us as the only ship in port that day (as does cruisetimetables.com), yet Cruise Port Amsterdam shows us at the Waterland Terminal. I was curious about why this would be the case with no other ships in port, since I've read that Waterland is only used for overflow. Anyone know? Thanks, and thanks also for any advice about getting to the ship.
Ine Posted March 24, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2023 (edited) It can be construction or maybe some event at the regular cruiseterminal. You can send them anemail with your question. info@cruiseportamsterdam.com Edited March 24, 2023 by Ine 1

Schnauzerguy Posted March 24, 2023 #5 Share Posted March 24, 2023 On this same sailing and it appears that taxi, Uber etc is the only way to get here as there appears to be no public transportation close to this area.

Thanks again, Ine. It did look to me from my research that public transportation wasn't a good option, I appreciate your confirming that.

I did so, and they've just replied that showing the Rotterdam docked at Waterland was a "typo" on their cruise calendar, and that the Rotterdam will be docking at the Main Cruise Terminal! (And they've corrected the calendar on their web site.) Thanks again, @Ine Very good news!

3Shelaghs Posted March 28, 2023 #10 Share Posted March 28, 2023 Job well done! It does look like a difficult terminal to get to.
