padgman1 Posted April 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2023 DW and I will be on Silhouette next week - does the Retreat embarkation lounge in Miami serve continental breakfast items? I assume there will be liquid refreshment ( alcoholic or other), just wondering about breakfast food items. Our embarkation time is 1030.

Yes, they did have some pastries as well as coffee, tea, juice, water, soda. No alcoholic beverages in the embarkation lounge. The bars were open when we boarded the ship though. jelayne Posted April 15, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2023 Unless you show up before the ship is ready for boarding from the curb to on the ship is most often 10 minutes or less. Rarely have we seen anyone sitting drinking coffee or eating in the Retreat checkin area.

Everyone had to wait. Nobody ate that I recall but there was food. Pretty much everyone had coffee or a drink since we had to wait. But, yes I agree. If we did not have to wait , I don't think we would have actually sat there to have coffee. But if someone has not eaten and were wanting food, it is there. padgman1 Posted April 16, 2023 Author #6 Share Posted April 16, 2023 Thanks, everyone, for the replies. We are on the Premium American meal plan - 18 meals a day included - so we don’t want to miss ANY opportunity.

I was VERY disappointed on my first Celebrity sailing on Silhouette in January because the treats didn’t arrive when I did (two hours before boarding). I was on the Platinum Extreme meal plan - 30 meals a day, so you can imagine my disappointment!! In all seriousness, they didn’t have anything in the lounge in January. When I was on Silhouette last month, we boarded from a different terminal and while the boarding process was a little disjointed, the spread in the lounge was LOVELY! No alcohol, but tons of pastries, finger sandwiches, and lovely drinks. I snagged a lime Pellegrino and headed up to the ship…and straight to Luminae! ENJOY!
tomcruiser1234 Posted April 16, 2023 #8 Share Posted April 16, 2023 It’s been 5 years since we embarked out of Miami. We’re going on summit in a couple of weeks, is there a separate area to check in with a suite? Thanks
wrk2cruise Posted April 16, 2023 #9 Share Posted April 16, 2023 I believe if you don't get swept into a line to checkin not realizing your are in a suite they will escort you to the small lounge all the way at the back of the hall on the left side past the last checkin counter and check you in there. Just tell everyone trying to guide you to a checkin counter that you are in a suite.
