getawaygirl Posted April 18, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2023 Do you need to make a reservation for the "Bolt" roller coaster?

CarnivalShips480 Posted April 18, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2023 When on board on the app you have to select a 30 minute time slot.
Drazil65 Posted April 18, 2023 #4 Share Posted April 18, 2023 (edited) They sell out fast on the time slots and Bolt will shut down many times for wind or other weather related issues. We were on MG this past December and DS & DH wanted to ride, they choose 2 time slots on 2 different days just to increase their chances of getting to do it. They did ride for the first time slot they chose and liked it so much they kept the 2nd as well. Edited April 18, 2023 by Drazil65
CarnivalShips480 Posted April 18, 2023 #5 Share Posted April 18, 2023 Yes that's another thing. Book it on the first days of the cruise so if it is canceled for wind you have the rest of the cruise to reschedule.
evandbob Posted April 18, 2023 #6 Share Posted April 18, 2023 I was walking by the Bolt entrance on a port day and was asked by staff if I wanted to try it.....no line, no wait, I was their only customer. I think it was Punta Cana.
skywalkr2 Posted April 18, 2023 #7 Share Posted April 18, 2023 I booked the Celebration just so I could ride this... so silly. It's definitely not worth the cost, but I still want to do it on a sea day.

I think it was Punta Cana. I think more the exception. they want you to reserve (and be charged for) the ride in advance. They don't want a line of people waiting. You can always cancel (if outside of window - maybe 2 hours?). As other mentioned, reserve more than one day and cancel if you get lucky the first time.
