BETSY DOLL Posted April 22, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2023 The liquor selection delivered to the cabin is limited on the website. I called to inquire and was told a bottle of Woodford Reserve and a 6 pack of Sierra Mist would be $206! this included a $31 delivery fee. Wow! icft Posted April 22, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2023 Surprised they could offer Sierra Mist as it was discontinued in January.
mz-s Posted April 22, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 22, 2023 Yes they really want people to just buy Cheers. You're not really coming out ahead by buying a bottle anymore. I mean you save a little bit, especially considering you're not tipping for each drink. But still not much.
n6uqqq Posted April 22, 2023 #4 Share Posted April 22, 2023 If you think gas prices are high the room delivery alcohol is an eye opener!
BETSY DOLL Posted April 23, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted April 23, 2023 I had purchased Crown Royal several years ago for about $100. I don’t mind paying 3 times but not 6 times! Lol! my free drinks in the casino sounds wonderful!

And honestly, I’d get tired of the same alcohol all week. I’d much rather get cheers and have someone else make my drinks.
Rare BlerkOne Posted April 23, 2023 #7 Share Posted April 23, 2023 I think the motive is to keep those with Cheers from falling overboard.
thesmiths Posted April 23, 2023 #8 Share Posted April 23, 2023 If they had my brand, I would get a bottle. Reading this reminds me I haven't see a good smuggling a bottle on board thread in a while.

Was willing to play their game and pay $90 for a liter. $170 they can keep it and I'll keep my "Shampoo" in the fridge🤣

thesmiths Posted April 25, 2023 #14 Share Posted April 25, 2023 I know you can you order a bottle for the cabin while on the ship, Do they offer anything else besides what is on the online list?
bowlinmoe Posted April 25, 2023 #15 Share Posted April 25, 2023 I usually order a 4 pack of beer along with the cooler delivered to the room on day 1. I think it's $40 or so. It's nice to have a few beers for the fridge right away. I usually order water as well.
MagnoliaBlossom Posted April 25, 2023 #16 Share Posted April 25, 2023 We used to always get a bottle when we sailed but now they no longer carry what we drink. We also now sail out of Galveston rather thanNew Orleans, so the liquor is not delivered until noon onthe first sea day. We get free drinks in the casino so I bring my big sippy cup and keep refilling it for later, but it’s such a bother to do that. I had read that CCL had suspended in room sales during spring break to try and control over drinking, and it did disappear from the website all together. But now it’s back but outrageous. No thanks. Rare ibarrio Posted April 25, 2023 #19 Share Posted April 25, 2023 Paying for Cheers is worth it for us, I have no desire to run to the room every time I want a drink. Plus I like variety so sneaking or buying bottles just doesn't cut it for me

BETSY DOLL Posted April 26, 2023 Author #21 Share Posted April 26, 2023 Cheers does nothing for us while in port 3 days . We get free drinks in casino which is my home port! Anything else is paid for on deck while sunning . Still cheaper. love the Miami vice and bushwackers!!!
