wants2cruise2 Posted June 22, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2023 Using this port for the first time this coming fall. Are there any convenient hotels? Awesome if anyone can suggest any park-sleep-cruise packages convenient to this port.

Within NYC there are no park-sleep hotel packages. Parking is a premium and the tourist industry is geared for visitors to NYC not cruising from it. Trinity Reservations has hotels in New Jersey that have park/sleep options but if your goal is to tour NYC before the cruise you need to double-check the location and time to get into NYC. I believe package rates are over $500 though I have never used them. https://www.trinityreservations.com/New-York-park-and-cruise.php
stellfamily Posted June 22, 2023 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2023 I am looking for hotels fairly close proximity to the Brooklyn cruise terminal, flying in to LGA. Looking for suggestions if you have stayed there personally. Thank you
navybankerteacher Posted June 22, 2023 #4 Share Posted June 22, 2023 Hilton Garden Inn, 6 Water Street and Holiday Inn Express 120 Water Street are both short walks from pier 11 for the ferry across to right next to Brooklyn Cruise Terminal --- near interesting sites in Wall Street area, plenty of good restaurants. Brighton Line Posted June 23, 2023 #5 Share Posted June 23, 2023 The Lodge Red Hook https://www.lodgeredhook.com/en/ is a new hotel that is within walking distance. There really are not any hotels near the Brooklyn Port within the neighborhood of Red Hook Stay away from Brooklyn Motor Inn. You would have to go up to 4th Ave Brooklyn but staying in Manhattan is an option, it's New York City, and it will be pricey no matter where you stay and that should be a major factor not the distance to the port. wants2cruise2 Posted June 26, 2023 Author #8 Share Posted June 26, 2023 I’m thinking we’ll just drive up that morning since there doesn’t seem to be a close or easy option. We have no interest in sightseeing that day, just arriving fresh and relaxed for the cruise.

We were looking at the Loge Red Hook, is the walk doable with luggage?

You can "walk it" with Street View to see if there are any obstacles that might make it more difficult for you

I hate to call a taxi for that short of a distance. Just hope the wheels on our luggage can make it!
