PG_Cruiser Posted September 6 Author #627 Share Posted September 6 (edited) BAE AT THE BEACH Swim & Tonic Icon of the Seas I saw a lot of people ordering this drink from Swim & Tonic and the Hideaway Bar on Icon of the Seas. As a Floridian, I was so excited to see a Florida liqueur listed as an ingredient in a Royal Caribbean cocktail. I think it was used for the first time on Icon. Now it's also in the "Mai Time of My Life" from Pesky Parrot on Utopia. Well, one thing led to another and I somehow got connected with the owners of Munyon’s Paw Paw. They sent me a shirt and a hat! Here's a video of a bartender making it: https://www.facebook.com/100015025630985/videos/pcb.1724658084711696/364020929879495 Edited September 6 by PG_Cruiser

PG_Cruiser Posted September 13 Author #635 Share Posted September 13 (edited) PALM BREEZE The Hideaway Bar Icon of the Seas This recipe project is about recreating Royal Caribbean cocktails at home. I've been successful with a majority of them but this is a tough one. I didn't order it on Icon so I don't really know how it's supposed to look like. I have the official recipe but I feel like I didn't get the "look" right. Pictures posted by FB friends look different too. PG_Cruiser Posted September 17 Author #639 Share Posted September 17 (edited) THE PERFECT VUE Signature Cocktail The Vue Bar Wonder and Utopia of the Seas I am thankful for friends who got out of their way to find this recipe for me which was hard to find. A bartender shared it from memory because it wasn't in the bartenders' guide. Some friends also sent me photos of the drink and the Vue Bar menu. PG_Cruiser Posted September 20 Author #642 Share Posted September 20 SIREN’S CALL Basecamp Icon of the Seas Bartenders at Basecamp use ready made Mauby Syrup for this cocktail. I made mine at home with mauby bark from a local Caribbean store and some spices. For the Dragon Fruit Lime Juice, they use powder. This powder is only sold for commercial uses so I used frozen fruit instead. Actual picture of the drink:

PG_Cruiser Posted September 22 Author #646 Share Posted September 22 TRADEWINDS Basecamp Icon of the Seas I call this a "tip-the-bartender-well" type of drink. There are so many ingredients and it takes several steps to create it. This is a good challenge for the home bartender. Note that the "exotic fruit blend" is a pre-made mix. That's why the measurements for a single serving seem weird. For some trivia, this is the drink featured on the Basecamp menu.
