techteach Posted June 26, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2023 Pasted from our local newspaper. I just read The Seattle Times' article, "What tourists ask most about Seattle (and what the rest of us should know, too)", and I think it might interest you, too. You can read the full article here:https://www.seattletimes.com/pacific-nw-magazine/what-do-tourists-ask-most-about-seattle-we-know-and-we-have-answers/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=article_inset_1.1
dawnvip Posted July 9, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2023 Thanks for the link, its an interesting read. I've been to Seattle many times (2--3 hr drive) as a tourist and could check off almost everything in that artice (no idea who the boys in the boat are!) Also interested to read the comments, as Vancouver is struggling with many of the same homelessness and drug problems as Seattle. There are no easy answers, and blaming the situaion on Democrat or Republican policies doesn't wash (there are no dems or reps in Canada!)

Meander Ingwa Posted July 9, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2023 The Boys in the Boat is a excellent read. My number 1 recommend is to gather a picnic dinner in the market then a walk on ferry round trip to Bremerton and back. Time this for sunset and city lights
