JMMM2323 Posted July 17, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2023 We just booked a trip on the Bliss in December....we usually do balcony, but were trying to save some money this time and ended up with a oceanview cabin at the very front of the ship on deck 13...13102. Anyone stay in this cabin (or a similar one before)? Pros, Cons? We love the higher decks, so weren't thrilled with the idea of a 5th deck room, but maybe it's better than the forward facing one?? SplashOfWater Posted July 17, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2023 We stayed in a similar cabin (12702 on the Joy) for an Alaska cruise in 2019. We liked the layout better than the standard oceanview cabin (the bed was sideways rather than facing the doorway). It just felt roomier. There is a wide shelf just below the window with extra storage. Some of the cons are: 1) You need to keep the curtains closed at night so the light from the cabin does not interfere with the bridge (which is above you), 2) there is a relatively long walk to the forward elevators, 3) if you are sensitive to the ship's motion, this cabin may not be for you. Would we book a forward oceanview cabin again? Yes, it was a great cabin.

We stay in forward facing Haven rooms (which are next door). You get a lot of movement in heavy seas and the pounding of the sea against the bow. None of that ever bothered us. Two Wheels Only Posted July 17, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2023 Are any of the **700 staterooms available? If so, how much more is NCL asking? Those (such as 13700, 12700, etc.) are much larger than their neighbors.
