AFAIK, the form is still valid.

Where you apply (in person or by mail) depends on where in Canada you live. The other thing we learned is that visas are only good for 90 days from the date of issue, so you can't get them too far in advance. bleacher04 Posted March 16 #31 Share Posted March 16 Egyptian Visa Application Form Okay, I have uploaded the file to my Google Drive, and here is the link. Hopefully this works: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HsLlV2G7cFyy0g9D7d3GxtNYuyu5fPgJ/view?usp=drive_link Note that this form is labelled as being for the consulate in Montreal. Presumably the form for the embassy is the same -- geez I hope so -- with a different header. Post #28 shows the instructions.
Fouremco Posted March 16 #32 Share Posted March 16 That link doesn't provide access to the document, and instead provides a link to request access, presumably from you. You may receive an email from anyone requesting access. In the mean time, here's the embassy application form: https://embassyofegypt.se/onewebmedia/Visa Application Form (updated).pdf 1

My husband got his Visa in 5 days. He brought it there in person on Monday afternoon and they called that it could be picked up on Friday. He went on Monday and they said they would be closed for the rest of the week. I don't know why but we were happy he got his so quickly.

What problems do you foresee to get the Visa? Bob got his in 5 days. I guess because of your being in Vancouver it's a little harder? (Once he gets back I will let you know how the Nile cruise was).

(it would depend I know on where you live in Quebec). They were probably closed because Eid was last week.

I think you are right about why they were closed
mexico8 Posted April 15 #42 Share Posted April 15 With the way it's going not sure if my hubby will be going to Egypt. We are definitely watching the news for updates on the situation there. Only about 12 days until he is supposed to be going on the trip. No nails left to bite..........

Did you need to get a visa or are cruiser exempt? Are you flying to Egypt and boarding a Nile River Cruise, or are you on a ship that embarked somewhere other than Egypt and is stopping in Egypt? My knowledge is that if you are flying to Egypt and then boarding a ship in Egypt you will need a Visa in advance. If you are sailing to Egypt on a ship, your ship may handle the Visa for you but this is something that you must clear with your cruise line and the Canadian Government first. Don't chance this. The major service providers continue to offer basic plans with only local calling, so I assume that there are still lots of other people who don't want or need Canada-wide calling. Personally, I have US- and Canada-wide calling, but I don't assume that most people do. Heck, I even know people who don't own a mobile phone and continue to use a landline! 😇 1 hour ago, d9704011 said: I believe the inference was that the (Ottawa) poster could parlay that phone call into a visit to the embassy. I would assume if you are online , you would also have a cellphone 😉 I believe the only people I know without a cell , are my mom, 94, her uncle 100, and her aunt, 98 , but even their basic package is Canada with wide calling 😁

Anything more is an expensive luxury. I chose to save up my money and go on cruises instead. 🙂 I absolutely agree that the world as a whole assumes that everyone over the age of 6 has a smart phone with data, but I assure you that many still access the internet through desktops/laptops and larger tablets.
