dsindallas Posted October 10, 2023 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2023 So I am taking my mother on a Seabourn cruise in a few days and was wondering if they have bingo sessions on Seabourn. My mom is not one for the casino but loves to play bingo on cruises. I figured they would have it on sea days like most cruises I have been on. Thanks for helping me out with this. CruisingAlong4Now Posted October 10, 2023 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2023 It's been a while since I've cruised, but I don't recall bingo on board. We had very active and enthusiastic Trivia though.

No. Now, sorry for hijacking your post (sorry, not sorry) but I am taking my mom on a cruise and due to mobility issues, an airport and long plane flight will be unkind. Thus, head to find a cruise with embarkation/disembarkation ports reachable by car. That left limited options. Found a Holland America cruise in March ‘24 R/T San Diego, which is drivable for us (only 5 hours each way), so doing that. My mom has only sailed SB, SS and Crystal, so will be a change for her, but booked what is called a Neptune Suite which has lots of perks. (This will be odd that there are apparently different classes since on SB, everyone is treated the same regardless of status or suite.) Not looking forward to having to show your card for every drink order. 😞 Drink package limited to 15 drinks a day, but having to show card will be annoying, and upcharges galore. I am bringing my sister, too. Ok, so why this long winded post?? No reason except that it is nice to see someone else bringing their mom. My mother and sister do like Mah Jong and casino, and my sister loves Bingo. I expect that I will partake in all the activities HAL offers. And it is sandwiched between two SB Venture cruises with my better half.
lincslady Posted October 11, 2023 #4 Share Posted October 11, 2023 I can pretty well guarantee that there will not be Bingo on board a Seabourn ship. Try to persuade her to do trivia with you - there are prizes, of a sort. Used to be leather bookmarks.
Rare frantic36 Posted October 11, 2023 #5 Share Posted October 11, 2023 No, there has never been bingo on Seabourn that I am aware of. I have done two long cruises on Seabourn this year and the first one of 79 days had many sea days and no bingo. As lincslady suggests there is trivia, lectures, name that tune, liars club, baggo, art or craft classes on sea days, etc.

I was quite proud to take second place! <there were only two of us competing>
sunshineocean13 Posted October 12, 2023 #8 Share Posted October 12, 2023 The only time I've seen bingo on our Seabourn cruises was near the end of the 2020 World Cruise on Sojourn. This was once or twice during our unplanned "at sea" days, between leaving the Seychelles on March 1 and disembarkation on March 18 in Perth. You can imagine the staff was becoming quite creative finding activities!
LMB01 Posted October 15, 2023 #9 Share Posted October 15, 2023 Six Seabourn cruises since Covid and never Bingo The activities depend on the cruise director and we just got off a cruise that had a cruise director that only cared about his evening entertainment and the Seabourn singers and dancers. One of the worst CDs ever (one other beats the race to the bottom by a slight margin). Seabourn is not your typical mass market cruise line. You won’t find a photographer trying to take your picture to sell them to you later, no bingo, no horse racing, no disco or kids club but some will still bring kids.
