Atlgator Posted November 21, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2023 I apologize in advance if this has been discussed many, many times, but I have a simple question about Entertainment Reservations. How does Celebrity handle making reservations for their various shows? Do you go somewhere once on board and reserve times then or what? Thank you in advance . mahasamatman Posted November 21, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2023 I have never heard of Celebrity taking reservations for entertainment.

(Double Zenith level). We have never had to wait in line for a show. Just go in a take a seat. But, for some shows, the seats fill up fast. I suggest you show up a few minutes (10 to 15) before the scheduled start time. -- Don Edited November 21, 2023 by dcyonce
Atlgator Posted November 21, 2023 Author #7 Share Posted November 21, 2023 (edited) Thanks for all the responses. I normally sail on NCL, have only been on Celebrity once before, a while ago, so I am used to the hurry up and wait approach on NCL. I know it is a change of subject, but since I am the OP it is ok. How early can you get tender tickets? I have an early excursion in Belize and the tour company wants us off as quickly as we can. Since I don't have any seniority with Celebrity, do you just request tender tickets from Guest Operations? Rare cruisestitch Posted November 21, 2023 #8 Share Posted November 21, 2023 No they don’t give them out at Guest Relations. They will tell you ahead of time that tickets will be given out starting at X o’clock at location Y. If you want the earliest time you will need to show up at that location prior to the opening time. Those on Celebrity shore excursions will go on the first tenders and those in Suites will also get priority, then those with tender tickets will get called

There may be a line forming as people wait for the doors to open but then people take their seats pretty quickly so by fifteen minutes prior to the show, you won’t see any lines
Rare NutsAboutGolf Posted November 21, 2023 #10 Share Posted November 21, 2023 The theater hosts the main show which starts at 7 and repeats at 9 (730 and 930 on some European sailings). It has four total entrances and therefore doubtful you'd experience a line

Also there are those with Elite and above status who get escorted on if there's still room in the tender boat Edited November 21, 2023 by NutsAboutGolf

Go to guest services at least the day before, show them proof of your tour, and ask them how can you get on an early tender. As @cruisestitch states, they'll most likely tell you to show up early but one time I've personally been told to go directly to the tender just before it starts and show the crew proof of your early tour
Susanb10567 Posted November 21, 2023 #13 Share Posted November 21, 2023 In terms of entertainment…on the Edge class ships there are shows in Eden and the club…these are not big venues and can get crowded very early…we have unfortunately seen people almost come to blows when someone moved a seat and blocked their view from a couch he was sitting on for a show in Eden 🤦♀️

No wonder it was not crowded... The more I cruise the less I am interested in the shows. That would probably explain why 😂 Would love a theater refresh but my guess is we are a few years away. It’s quite expensive to mount a new show, pandemic, debt, etc. they don’t seem to have any trouble filling the ships with the same shows and the ever increasing prices
Rare hcat Posted November 24, 2023 #18 Share Posted November 24, 2023 on E Class, the amazing theaters seem smaller.. we go 1/2 hr early, enjoy a cocktail and people watch. so much easier than Royal C where u have to get tickets and stand on line
Ex-Airbalancer Posted November 24, 2023 #19 Share Posted November 24, 2023 Just off the Connie TA The entertainment they had in the theatre was really good on the cruise , we made it to 13 of 16 shows , the theatre was probably 85% filled we even had a X-rayed show at 7 pm 🤣 Sue the CD is past her primed , time for her to hang up the shoes , it is silly for her to wear mini dresses on stage
