CgnEg Posted January 8 #1 Share Posted January 8 We are headed to the Caribbean in February and most of the excursions are booked up. Do more excursions become available after we board the ship? I don’t remember most of the excursions on our Alaska cruise being sod out, we booked multiple excursions on the ship.
Rare 3rdGenCunarder Posted January 8 #2 Share Posted January 8 New excursions are unlikely, especially a month or so out, but sometimes HAL can arrange for an additional group for a sold-out excursion. Are they offering a waitlist for any of the sold-out tours?
CgnEg Posted January 8 Author #3 Share Posted January 8 Yes, they are. I didn’t know how likely this is, when we were waitlisted in Alaska for 2 tours and they never opened up.
Rare 3rdGenCunarder Posted January 8 #4 Share Posted January 8 If nothing opens up before your cruise, go to the tour desk on embarkation day and ask.
CruiserBruce Posted January 8 #5 Share Posted January 8 Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Some facilities have fixed capacities. For example, a snorkeling boat can only take so many people, and there may not be any other boats. Some museums or other similar sites can only handle so many people. iflyrc5 Posted January 8 #6 Share Posted January 8 We recently cleared the waitlist on 2 tours in the Caribbean for Jan 2024. There are also lots of great private tours you can get. Calabaza in Barbados, Bernard in St Maarten, Spencer Ambrose in St Lucia. etc.
CgnEg Posted January 8 Author #7 Share Posted January 8 (edited) Thank you for all the responses. We are going to have a great time no matter what. I just didn’t want the excursion credits to go to waste. Edited January 8 by CgnEg Spelling
