tauep24 Posted March 25 #1 Share Posted March 25 I have a trip planned on the Radiance for Apr'26. Can anyone tell me how the seas are out of Long Beach in April? Can you also tell me if how have been on the Radiance what were you likes/dislikes? I am traveling from the east coast. This would my 1st time to Hawaii. I'm on the fence of keeping this reservation
Rare Essiesmom Posted March 25 #2 Share Posted March 25 Go back to the top of the Carnival page and click on See posts about, click on Select ship and choose Radiance. You will get pages of threads that talk about Radiance.
rockwall_cruiser Posted March 25 #3 Share Posted March 25 We were on the Miracle out of Long Beach to Hawaii at the end of February. The 4 days enroute to Hawaii were a little rough, there was a recent storm. Up to 15 feet seas. Deck 9 was closed on these days. On the way back the seas were much calmer. Sillyjilly Posted March 26 #4 Share Posted March 26 I've cruised there many times in different months. The first 2 to 3 days are a little wavy, as well at the end of the cruise on the way home. Weather is a crapshoot. You really never know. I've had seas smooth as silk and some seas that nearly tossed me from my bed. Same months different weather. Had a great cruise either way because I loved being rocked to sleep at night. That being said, the weather varies from day to day usually, so you won't have bad weather the entire cruise. (Of course, this can't be said as an absolute)
Cushing985 Posted April 12 #5 Share Posted April 12 We did this cruise in April of 2014 out of San Diego. My wife can get seasick in the tub at home and she didn't have any massive problems. The seas are definitely more choppy than you might find in the Caribbean. It is cold the first few days of the cruise and the last few but you won't need a parka. One of my favorite cruises!
