Rare JIMESOPUS Posted May 10 #951 Share Posted May 10 Regarding tonight's possible light show here in NY, parts of Europe also have a chance. More importantly, it's a G4 storm that could affect communications and power grids.

Rare mking8288 Posted May 11 Author #957 Share Posted May 11 Good morning & Bonjour from Le Harve, France - Prima arrived and ship has been cleared about an hour ago, ~ 6:45 AM and pax streaming to go ashore for shorex including that 3+ hour trip to Paris, each way. It's an easy day for us, not rushing - going to breakfast first.

Rare bedfordmom Posted May 11 #966 Share Posted May 11 @mking8288 looks like a nice relaxing day before debarking. Is there much to do there. Is Susan interested in French skincare as Caudele is half the price than in the states. Last two trips I stocked up and now my kids are putting in their orders.
Rare JIMESOPUS Posted May 11 #967 Share Posted May 11 Good Afternoon Prima just wanted to say a big thank you to @mking8288 @Sugar Magnolia @Fogfog and so many other CCers for making this an enjoyable read. Taking time away from your normal cruise activities and sharing not only your photos, commentary, and humor made this a great " Live ". The weather in London looks great for those who are flying home tomorrow. Safe travels to all, Jim 5
Dukemstr Posted May 11 #968 Share Posted May 11 (edited) We decided to take a cab to Honfleur and use the good weather and the Saturday market to visit this lovely town. Tons of restaurants and shops and little medieval streets A few pictures for your enjoyment. For people still on the ship. It’s a half hour drive from there. It’s still a good time to arrive. It's 75 deg F today here and sunny, feels rather hot. French businesses open briefly in the mid to late morning, then close from 12 to 12:15 for 2 hour lunch, then reopen ... some restaurants only open for 2 to 3 hours in the early evening. Ditto for the shops, we basically looked around near Hotel De Ville & dropped plans to see the St. Joseph Church, worked our way to lunch. More scenic photos, stopped by a local pharmacy and yes, checked out shoes ... with 20% VAT - took a pass & moved on. @The P The 3 ladies did looked but no deal. Rare mking8288 Posted May 11 Author #971 Share Posted May 11 (edited) Starbucks up the block, not our cup of tea ... after a tall cup of fruity bubble tea, we decided to call it & started to work out way back to the ship. Prima's gangway angle is rather steep ... there's supposed to be gangway on Deck 4, but not used once on this TA. Not, I say, not easy for seniors and anyone with access or mobility challenges to climb that 25+ degree ramp. Edited May 11 by mking8288

We had the room right above the bridge for 14 days, not.
