I got these from Amazon, I like the way that they pivot and they are quite strong (40lb) when compared to others. They are great when using laundry on long cruises as we hang the clothes items we don't put in the dryer from the ceiling under the air vent which dries them quickly. Plus they are strong enough to hang heavy coats from the wall.
Gettingwarmer Posted April 21 #3 Share Posted April 21 Great where some cabins don’t have hooks by the door. Gets coats etc out of the wardrobe. We have ones with flat bases that the hooks screw into bought some time ago. Plenty to be found.
Rare david63 Posted April 21 #4 Share Posted April 21 I have found that they do not hold anything of any weight when used on a cabin wall - OK for lightweight items. Not sure if it is the particular hooks that I have of that it is the cabin walls.
sandancer Posted April 21 #5 Share Posted April 21 We have bought 2 different types over time and found the heavy duty ones to be more versatile. I use them to hang necklaces to stop them getting tangled in a drawer. Caps, and best of all, right by the door our lanyards. I also have a couple of magnetic bulldog clips - one for the Horizon and the other for tour tickets. Please feel free to mock me, I’m well aware that at my age I’m constantly forgetting where I’ve put things and a bit of a “tidy” freak as well. If you buy a really strong magnet and rub it all over the wall, will all the clothes hooks fall off next door wall?.

jeanlyon Posted April 21 #8 Share Posted April 21 I must say, I have never needed any. There are hooks on the wall for a jacket, otherwise the wardrobe.

I have brought 100lb ones and 40lb ones both are good to hang a heavy winter coat on without it sliding down the wall , it certainly saves space in the wardrobe that padded coats take up especially if you’re going to cold countries, I ve had mine for 20 years and they don’t lose their strength. Amazon best place to look .

Rare Eglesbrech Posted April 22 #12 Share Posted April 22 We use them for heavy jackets on cold weather cruises, saves crushing clothes in the wardrobe. Oh hangs them from the ceiling which seems to have a stronger magnetic hold that the walls and they don’t slide down.
BouncingWheel Posted April 22 #13 Share Posted April 22 I hear the casino is not ready following the refit of Britannia. Therefore, someone could make a fortune running a cabin betting den on sliding jackets on hooks races🤣
