Cru-Zin Posted April 27 #1 Share Posted April 27 We wanted to do an excursion that has sold out. We booked a private tour. The operator is planning to leave at 45 minutes after tendering. Some people in the group do not have Gold level of latitude points necessary for priority tendering. Is there any way that we can get extra tickets for them to disembark when we do? Your friends will have to make sure they are first in line to get the earliest tickets. Keep an eye on the daily for when it starts and then get there before the time listed. Can I ask if the tour operator you found will give you a refund if you cannot tender? If your ship changes its schedule far enough in advance, we will first try to rearrange the tour for you. If it is not possible, if the schedule changes with too short of a notice or if you ship simply does not dock (due to bad weather for instance), we will give you full refund. That includes your 10% deposit. We were refunded on our last cruise because our ship was unable to tender in 2 ports. One was an NCL tour and one was through Shore Excursions Group. Cru-Zin Posted April 28 Author #9 Share Posted April 28 Thanks everyone who has replied. I appreciate the feedback. I remember getting in line at 6:45 am day of departure on the Dawn in November. I was lucky to get 2 of the last 4 "Group 1" tickets available. We just turned Gold at the end of that cruise. Does anyone know if there is a number at NCL that I can call to ensure that the members of my group who do not have priority disembarkation can get on an earlier tender? We would all would like to ensure that their departure for the tour runs smoothly. There are about half of the members that do not have Gold+ status. I doubt that very much. That would not be fair to other passengers if there is a non-advertised way around the regular tender ticket deliverance. Most of the people standing in line do so because they have independent excursions booked. Just get up and stand in line! Only one or two from the group need to be there to pick up the tickets. The only time I have used my status for priority tendering they looked at my key card. I do however suspect it varies how things are done and how strictly rules are enforced.
