Ashland Posted May 10 #2 Share Posted May 10 None for us. We don't do the beach when cruising. We can do that at home any day.
leaveitallbehind Posted May 10 #3 Share Posted May 10 Eagle Beach, Aruba; Cockleshell Bay Beach, St. Kitts; Horseshoe Bay Beach, Bermuda, are a few that are very good as well. There certainly are others.

Rare ontheweb Posted May 10 #5 Share Posted May 10 I am not a beach person, but I did like Horeshoe Bay in Bermuda. DW has never met a beach she did not like!

Rare 1025cruise Posted May 10 #7 Share Posted May 10 For the money it costs to go to the beach on a cruise, I can just sit by the pool on the empty ship.

Only ever costs us cab fare. Never book through the ship. Never have to. And Cockleshell Bay Beach in particular has ridiculously inexpensive beverages to help pass the day. wcook Posted May 11 #14 Share Posted May 11 (edited) From a cruise standpoint, you can’t beat the private “islands.” If I can only pick one, Disney’s Castaway Cay. Edited May 11 by wcook

I would add RCCL CocoCay, but years ago pre-waterpark commercialization conversion when it truly seemed like a desert island. First time there 1992 and very undeveloped. Now, not so much. lynncarol Posted May 12 #16 Share Posted May 12 La Digue in the Seychelles The Baths in Virgin Gorda. (I don't think cruise-ships go there but it is accessible by boat).
Canuker Posted May 13 #17 Share Posted May 13 My favourite doesn't exist anymore. Called Salomon Beach, it was a small, intimate cove, only reachable by land over a rocky footpath and a 20 minute walk (hike!) from the ferry dock at Cruz Bay, St John, USVI. I can disclose it now, because a hurricane replaced all that lovely sand beach with stones and boulders - which we found to our dismay the last time we went there. The good news is that Honeymoon Beach, next bay over is still in decent shape and can also be reached by road; the day-trip catamarans often anchor there. A friend said that it was the best beach she'd ever been on - but then she didn't get to sample the secluded Salomon Beach...
wcook Posted May 13 #18 Share Posted May 13 Zihuatanejo. Mexico. Little place right on the Pacific. You know what the Mexicans say about the Pacific? They say it has no memory. That's where I'd like to finish out my beach trip. A warm place with no memory.
