I was not charged for the Tylenol the nurse gave me when I sprained my knee. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t allow me to have more than 6 Tylenol total. Since the ship’s store had none in stock, I gritted my teeth for a few days and did without until my husband was able to find some onshore. Moral of the story: bring whatever you think you might need. Edited May 13 by Twitchly

I have seen Tissot and Citizen for watches - you could have gotten one to set your Rolex to the correct time. I'm not going to take anything expensive on a cruise, it's my gardening watch. The comedy factor was that the sales person couldn't grasp that a £500 non waterproof battery watch was not an upgrade from it, regardless of the gem stones glued to it
Zippeedee Posted May 13 #29 Share Posted May 13 This is not the totality of products available on the Star but I do think they have their priorities in order.

Aquadesiac Posted May 23 #31 Share Posted May 23 When we were on the WC in 2022, we were surprised to see adult diapers offered in the shop. I've never seen that on any cruise ship anywhere.

tarhoosier Posted May 30 #34 Share Posted May 30 In response to this thread I was at my GP yesterday for a wellness visit and asked about best drug for lower GI distress. His reply: Lomotil* (or equivalent). MANY times more effective than immodium he said. This is for the distress due to an outside agent entering the body and not as the result of some out-of-balance gut biome due to antibiotics or other causes that resolve in otherwise healthy individuals. He wrote a Lomotil Rx for me to have just in case. For the gut biome issue he recommends yoghurt taken freely and daily. *lomotil=low motility
rmalbers Posted May 30 #35 Share Posted May 30 (edited) I can add to this topic: Just because a drug store in Europe says, 'English speaking' on the door, doesn't mean, there is someone in there that speaks and understands English. Like others have said, bring what you might need. Edited May 30 by rmalbers

This is a pill that has to digest. Immodium quick dissolve works almost immediately for me.
